Before the Roman invasion Caratacus is associated with the expansion of his tribe's territory. His apparent success led to Roman invasion, nominally in support of his defeated enemies. He resisted the Romans for almost a decade, mixing guerrilla warfare with set-piece battles, but was unsuccessful in the latter. After his final defeat he fled to the territory of Queen Cartimandua, who captured him and handed him over to the Romans. He was sentenced to death as a military prisoner, but made a speech before his execution that persuaded the Emperor Claudius to spare him. The legendary Welsh character Caradog ap Bran and the legendary British king Arvirargus may be based upon Caratacus. Caratacus's speech to Claudius has been a common subject in art. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caratacus

- Birth: ABT 593, Land of the Picts, Alban
- Also known as: Bridei II
- LifeSketch: Wikipedia Bridei son of Foith or son of Uuid (died 641) was a king of the Picts from 635 to 641. The Pictish Chronicle king-list gives him a reign of five years following his brother Gartnait III. His death is reported by the Annals of Ulster and the Annals of Tigernach. He was followed by another brother, Talorc III, according to the king lists. Bridei II might have been the father of the "Pictish princess" married to Eanfrith of Bernicia, and might explain why their son Talorgan I became the king of the Picts from 653–657.

- LifeSketch: https://www.revisedenglishversion.com/Matthew/chapter1:16 https://www.quora.com/Who-is-the-father-of-Joseph-that-married-Mary-the-mother-of-Jesus/answer/Levi-Yisrael-1?ch=10&share=421308d0&srid=7OQCk The earthly father of Yosef(Joseph), the husband of Mary, was Heli, it is told at Luke 3:23. There is some confusion on this topic which you may be aware of and is why you’re asking this question. There is a mistranslation in modern Bibles from the Greek which includes the KJV, in the 1st chapter of Matthew, it mistranslates "father" to "husband". Due to this simple mistranslation, people for years have been confused concerning the genealogies of the Messiah, Mary, and Joseph, and you can see many people making up a lot of stuff to try and feel better about the confusion. This may have even helped cause some people to lose faith in the scriptures because of the modern Christians confusing this verse and making it look like the Gospels do not know the genealogies. This mistranslation can be major because this is the very start of the gospels, and it can potentially lead people into thinking that it says the Messiah is not the son of David, when it's known that the Messiah would be from David's line. Also, the mistranslation causes a contradiction with Matthew 1:17. Verse 17 states that there are 14 generations from Abraham to David, then from David until the Babylon captivity are 14 generations, and then from the Babylon captivity to the Messiah there are 14 generations; Matthew 1:17 "So all the generations from Abraham to David are 14 generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are 14 generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Messiah are 14 generations" This actually helps us confirm the mistranslation, and when the mistranslation is corrected, there is absolutely no contradiction. In the texts carrying this mistranslation, if you actually count the generations then it will only show 13 generations from the Babylon captivity to the Messiah, and from this you can see there is definitely something wrong there. Also from this error, another problem is the mistranslation says that it is showing the genealogy of Joseph, the man who was engaged to Mary, but Mary was already pregnant before they became married, and the Messiah was not related to Joseph the husband of Mary other than through adoption. So all of this is due to the mistranslation where it says at Matthew 1:16 "Joseph the husband of Mary", when it should say "Joseph the father of Mary". When translated to father, this correctly shows 14 generations from the Babylon captivity to the Messiah, it also shows that this genealogy is about Mary the mother of Yahushua the Messiah who was from David's line. (Yahushua is the actual name of the Messiah by the way, most people know him by “Jesus”.) When looking at the old Aramaic texts of Matthew, there is a word that literally means "protective male", it is this word that translators have made to husband which causes these problems, when it should be father when read in context. (You can view this on the Aramaic interlinear here: http://www.peshitta.org/) Mary's earthly father and her Husband both had the common Hebrew name Yosef("Joseph"), which seems to have helped cause this error and confusion when translating. At Luke 3:23 it actually goes over the genealogy of “Joseph” the husband of Mary, and it reveals a few details, 1 being that he also is from David's line, another is that his line lists different names than the 1 at Matthew chapter 1! The father of the Joseph being talked about in Matthew 1:16 is named Jacob. The father of the Joseph who married Mary is named Heli and we are shown this at Luke 3:23. So this as well shows us something was not right with the Greek Matthew 1. So with the mistranslation, people are thinking Joseph’s line is went over twice and Mary's line is not went over at all, which would mean it never fully showed how the Messiah was from David’s line, but since the Messiah’s dna and flesh came completely from his mother, he was of David. Pay attention to the 2 genealogies from Matthew 1 and Luke 3 and you will see that they do not even match up, showing they're 2 different people even more obviously. (Some Modern Christian teachers actually attempt to switch these out and say Matthew 1 is talking about Joseph and Luke 3 is talking about Mary, but that is backwards. These teachers see the apparent contradiction and some try to say "Heli" was Josephs father-in-law, but that is just an attempt to grab at what they can to try and solve this obvious problem in the English texts.) Here is the correct Matthew 1 genealogy, showing the 14 generations; 1 Abraham 2 Isaac 3 Jacob 4 Judah 5 Perez 6 Hezron 7 Ram 8 Amminadab 9 Nahshon 10 Salmon 11 Boaz 12 Obed 13 Jesse 14 David 15 Solomon 16 Rehoboam 17 Abiyah 18 Asa 19 Jehoshaphat 20 Joram 21 Uzziah 22 Jotham 23 Ahaz 24 Hezekiah 25 Manasseh 26 Amon 27 Josiah 28 JECONIAH -Babylon captivity due to Yisrael's disobedience to YHWH's Law 29 Shealtiel 30 Zerubbbabel 31 Abiud 32 Eliakim 33 Azor 34 Zadok 35 Achim 36 Eliud 37 Eleazar 38 Matthan 39 Jacob 40 Joseph (drop as father, lineage to short) 41 Mary 42 Yahushua the Messiah of YHWH

- Father: Simon II DE SENLIS
- Mother: Isabelle DE BEAUMONT
- Birth: ABT 1142, Huntingdonshire, England
- LifeSketch: “Royal Ancestry: A Study in Colonial & Medieval Families,” Douglas Richardson (2013): “SIMON DE SENLIS, Knt., advocate of the Priory of St. Andrew's, Northampton, Sheriff of Huntingdonshire, son and heir, born c.1103. He was a ward of his step-father, King David I, until 1124. He married before 1138 ISABEL (or ELIZABETH) OF LEICESTER, daughter of Robert of Meulan, Knt., 1st Earl of Leicester, by Amice, daughter of Raoul, seigneur of Gael in Brittany and Breteuil in Normandy [see LEICESTER 6 for her ancestry]. They had one son, Simon [Earl of Huntingdon and Northampton], and three daughters, Amice, Hawise, and Isabel. By an unknown mistress, he had an illegitimate son, Simon. He witnessed the Oxford charter of King Stephen in 1136. He was recognized as Earl of Northampton previous to 1140. About 1140, as "Earl Simon," he granted three bovates and two tofts in Barton on Humber, Lincolnshire to William his chamberlain. He fought for King Stephen at the Battle of Lincoln in 1141, and was one of the three earls who remained faithful to Queen Maud during her husband's captivity. About 1145 he exchanged various rents from the mills of Earl's Barton and Great Doddington, Northamptonshire with the Prior and convent of St. Andrew's, Northampton, in return for lands in Hardingstone, Northamptonshire. After the death of his half-brother, Henry of Scotland, in 1152, he obtained the earldom of Huntingdon. He appears five times in the charters of his brother-in- law, Robert, Earl of Leicester, including treaties with the Bishop of Lincoln and Earl of Chester. In 1152-3 he granted Merton, Oxfordshire to the Templers. He founded the nunnery of De la Pré, near Northampton, and Sawtry Abbey, Huntingdonshire. SIMON DE SENLIS, Earl of Huntingdon and Northampton, died August 1153. Sometime before 1158, his widow, Isabel, and her son, Simon, granted to the nuns of Eaton two carucates of land with pasture for 300 sheep in Waltham on the Wolds, Leicestershire. His widow, Isabel, married (2nd) GERVASE PAYNELL, of Dudley (in Sedgley), Staffordshire, Churchill, Worcestershire, son and heir of Ralph Paynell, of Dudley, Staffordshire. They had one son, Robert. In the period, c.1158-66, he and his wife, Isabel, presented to the church of Waltham on the Wolds, Leicestershire. In the period, 1158-66, he and his wife, Isabel, gave a mansura in Waltham on the Wolds, Leicestershire to Nuneaton Priory, Warwickshire. In 1173 he was among the supporters of Prince Henry in his rebellion. In 1182 he confirmed to the monks of Tickford the chapel of Astwood, Buckinghamshire. In 1187 Gervase confirmed to Tickford Priory, with the consent of his wife, Isabel, Countess of Northampton, the gifts of his father and grandfather. He issued two other charters to Tickford, one giving a house and messuage in Newport, and the other giving his land in Chicheley, Buckinghamshire. GERVASE PAYNELL was living as late as May 1188 (date of letter), and died before Michaelmas 1194, and was buried in Tickford Priory. At some unknown date, Isabel was granted a bovate of land in Groby, Leicestershire by her brother, Robert, Earl of Leicestershire, which sometime in or after 1190 she gave to Nuneaton Priory. At an unknown date, she also granted four bovates in Waltham [on the Wolds], Leicestershire to Belvoir Priory. Baker Hist. & Antiqs. of Northampton 1 (1822-30): 563 (Beaumont-Quincy ped.). - Father: Bernard DE SAINT QUENTIN Abt von St Quentin
- Mother: V DE LAON d'Herstal
- Birth: 752, France
- Also known as: Alard abbé de Corbie
- Ecclesiastic: Monk, 772, Noirmoutier, Vendée, France
- LifeSketch: Medlands Project ADALHARD [I] ([752]-2 Jan 826). The Vita Adalhardi refers to "quinque…viri propagati…maior natu senex noster sanctissimus", referring to Adalhard, recording in an earlier passage that he entered holy orders at the age of 20[17]. Although the passage does not name Adalhard's father, it names his younger brother "Wala" whose father is named in Einhard's Annales which record "Walach comes filius Bernhardi"[18]. The Annales Laurissenses record that King Charles came to "Corbonaeum villam" in 771 with "Wilcharius archiepiscopus et Folradus capellanus…Warinus et Adalhardus comites"[19]. Although it is not certain that this "Adalhardus" was the son of Bernard or a different person, no reference to another contemporary of the same name has so far been found. Abbé de Corbie 781. A Capitulum of Charles I King of the Franks dated Jun 800 names "Adalardo comiti palatio nostri"[20]. "Comiti Hadalhardus, Fulradus, Unrocus seu Hrocculfus" are named as imperial missi in a document of Emperor Charlemagne dated 806[21]. Adalhard was tutor of Pepin King of Italy, son of Charlemagne, and was appointed regent for Pepin's son Bernard King of Italy in 813[22]. He was exiled to Noirmoutier after the death of Charlemagne in 814, but returned to favour in 821. Einhard's Annales record that "Adalhardum quoque de Aquitania" was appointed "Corbeiæ monasterio abbatem" in 821[23]. The primary source which records the date of death of Adalhard has not yet been identified.

Ralph Stourton had sons, Eudes (who is said to have d. young) and William, whose son John, according to the "History of the Noble House of Stourton", was sheriff in 1377. Sources: 1. Eudo (Edward) De STOURTON 2. William De STOURTON (Sir Knight) From: http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/STOURTON.htm#Ralph De STOURTON1 _______________________ History of the noble house of Stourton, of Stourton, in the county of Wilts; (1899) https://archive.org/details/historyofnobleho01mowb https://archive.org/stream/historyofnobleho01mowb#page/28/mode/1up Pg.28 Botolph of Stourton, temp, conquestoris, had besides his elder son and heir, Sir Robert, a younger son, Galfridus. Mr. Edmondson starts his pedigree with Bartholomew Stourton, the first Lord of Stourton after the Conquest, whom Sir Richard Colt Hoare, quoting the College of Arms pedigree, presumed was identical with Botolph Stourton. This is confirmed by the official pedigree in the College of Arms, in which Botolph is given as the first known ancestor of the Lords Stourton, after the Conquest. It is thought possible that this Botolph may have had a younger son called Bartholomew, especially when it is considered that that name has the appropriate meaning of "son of him who made the waters to rise," and that as Botolph Stourton had inherited the fishery rights and customs of his ancestor, Botolph Stourton, the Saxon Thane, who had the original grant from King Alfred the Great, as before shown, he may have, as the then head of the family, named a son Bartholomew, in reference to the head or rise of the river Stour being in the parish of Stourton, and to the fact that that river is supposed to have been dyed by the blood of those slain in battle at Stourton. But if the meaning of the name has a relation to any particular episode, it might equally appropriately refer to the breaking down of the sea walls of the Severn. https://archive.org/stream/historyofnobleho01mowb#page/29/mode/1up Pg.29 Sir Robert Stourton, Lord of Stourton, son and heir of Botolph, also Lord there, had by his wife, Agnes, an elder son and heir. Sir William Stourton, Knight, also called Lord of Stourton, successor to his father, and who had a son and heir, Sir Michael Stourton, who was the last to be styled "Lord of Stourton." He lived in the troublous times of King John, and King Henry III., when the risings of the Barons and feudal Lords against the Throne caused so many to lose their Estates, as presumably did this Sir Michael Stourton, .... etc. https://archive.org/stream/historyofnobleho01mowb#page/34/mode/1up Pg.34 .... He (Sir Michael) married Mary daughter of John, Lord Mauduit(*), and had, besides a younger son, Guy Stourton, an eldest son and heir. Sir John Stourton, knight, of Stourton, Co. Wilts,, who predeceased his father and married Gracia, daughter of Thomas, Lord Hungerford, of Helsbury(t), by Jane, his wife, daughter and heir of Sir Edward Hussey, and had issue : — i. — Eudo Stourton, whom Edmondson has evidently confused with Sir John Stourton, his father, in placing his mother as his wife. Collins shews him as eldest son and heir apparent of Sir John Stourton, but as dying in his father's lifetime, which is probably correct for his younger brother, Sir Ralph Stourton, is said to have succeeded his grandfather, Sir Michael, as heir to the Manor and Advowson of Stourton, held of Hugh Lovel, as of his Castle of Cary, Co, Somerset, which honour he held of the Crown in chief. The College of Arms pedigree, which Hoare printed, confirms Collins as to Gracia Hungerford being wife of Sir John Stourton. .... etc. https://archive.org/stream/historyofnobleho01mowb#page/35/mode/1up Pg.35 ii. — Sir Ralph Stourton, a knight of the Holy Sepulchre, who was buried in the North Aisle of Stourton Church, to which had been presented before 1316 and in 1318 a Eudonis supposed to have been a Eudonis Stourton. He (Sir Ralph) is said to have succeeded his grandfather, Sir Michael Stourton, as heir, as he must have survived his father and elder brother, Sir John and Eudonis Stourton. In 19th Edward I., when Hugo Lovel had an extent of his Knight fees and Advowsons of Churches taken, the jurors found that Ralph de Stourton, held Stourton, with the Advowson, by the service of one Knight's fee, of him, as of his Castle of Cary, Co. Somerset, presumably to do suit and homage there from three weeks to three weeks. He married Alice, daughter of Thomas, Lord Berkeley, by whom he had two sons : — (a). — Sir Eudo or Edward Stourton, who is said to have died sine prole in his fathers lifetime, and who might have been Eudonis, rector of Stourton, and identical with Eudonis Stourton who laid claim to that Church. (b). — Sir William Stourton, eldest living son and heir, of whom later on, and from whom the Barons Stourton descend. Sir Ralph Stourton is said by Edmondson to have had several children by a second wife, Laurencia. Richard de Stourton, who was presented 27 February, 1295, to the Church of Little Langford, Co. Wilts., in the diocese of Sarum, might very well have been one of those children. The Daungen family were originally ancient Lords and Patrons there, and we find as early as 1255, domino de Aungens, being one of the witnesses with domino Ivone de Stourtone, militibus, and domino Johanne de Vernoun, to the aforesaid Charter of Sir Ralph Baskerville. .... etc. https://archive.org/stream/historyofnobleho01mowb#page/37/mode/1up Pg.37 Chart Sir Michael de Stourton "Dominus de Stourton." = Mary, daughter of John, Lord Mauduit.; ch: Sir John (m.
