- Father: Addedomarus King of the Trinovantes South-Eastern BRITAIN

(9) Lucius Coelius Antipater, romeinse annalist. Zie s.v. Coelius. [Nuchelmans]

- Father: Gibaric King of the Tervingi Goths
- Birth: ABT 290, Scythia, Roman Empire
- Also known as: Aoric of the Tervingi
- LifeSketch: Aoric (Latinized Aoricus) was a Tervingian Gothic king (reiks and kindins) who lived in the 4th century.[1][2] Aoric was son of Ariaric and father of Athanaric, he was raised in Constantinople, where a statue was erected in his honour.[3] He was recorded by Auxentius of Durostorum leading a persecution of Gothic Christians in 347/348. Herwig Wolfram noted that "alliteration, variation, and rhythm in the line of names Athanaric, Aoric, Ariaric resemble the 'ideal type' of Hadubrand, Hildebrand, Heribrand". He considered the similarities and comparison suggested that all three kings were members of the Balti dynasty.[4 ***************************** Wikipedia - List of Ukrainian Kings- Tervingi The Balti dynasty, Balth(e)s, Baltungs, or Balthings, existed among the Tervingi ("forest people"), called later the Visigothi. - Father: Flavius Magnus Roman Senator de Narbonne
- Mother: Rufia de Napoli
- Birth: ABT 435, Narbonne, Gallia Aquitainia, Roman Empire
- LifeSketch: Wikipedia Flavius Magnus (c. 390 or 405–475) was a Roman Senator of Narbonne (then Narbo). He was appointed Consul of Rome in 460 by the Emperor Majorian, at the same time Flavius Apollonius served in the East, and later served as praetorian prefect of Gaul in 469.[1] Family His father, born ca 380, might have been the son of Ennodius, Proconsul of Africa. He might have been Flavius Felix (380 – 430), Consul of Rome in 428, who married Padusia and was allegedly an ancestor of Felix, Consul in 511. His mother (b. 385) was a daughter of Agricola, Consul of Rome in 421 and father of Emperor Avitus. He was the father of:[1] 1) Magnus Felix (430 – after 469), a Patron in 469, married to Attica (b. 440); 2) Araneola (b. 435 or 440), married to Polemius; 3) Probus, a Roman Senator

- LifeSketch: Ardaric (Latin: Ardaricus; fl. c. 450 AD) was the king of the Gepids, a Germanic tribe closely related to the Goths. He was "famed for his loyalty and wisdom," one of the most trusted adherents of Attila the Hun, who "prized him above all the other chieftains." Ardaric is first mentioned by Jordanes as Attila's most prized vassal at the Battle of the Catalaunian Plains (451): "The renowned king of the Gepidae, Ardaric, was there also with a countless host, and because of his great loyalty to Attila, he shared his plans. For Attila, comparing them in his wisdom, prized him and Valamir, king of the Ostrogoths, above all the other chieftains." (Jordanes, Getica, trans. C. C. Mierow, 1915) After Attila's death in 453, Ardaric led the rebellion against Attila's sons and routed them in the Battle of Nedao, thus ending the Huns' dominance in Eastern Europe. Since Attila's death, his eldest son Ellak had risen to power. Supported by Attila's chief lieutenant, Onegesius, he wanted to assert the absolute control with which Attila had ruled, while Attila's other two sons, Dengizik and Ernak, claimed kingship over smaller subject tribes. In 454, Ardaric led his Gepid and Ostrogothic forces against Attila's son Ellak and his Hunnish army. The Battle of Nedao was a bloody but decisive victory for Ardaric, in which Ellak was killed.[1] Ardaric's most immediate achievement was the establishment of his people in Dacia. His defeat of the Huns at the River Nedao reduced the threat of invasion posed to the Eastern Roman Empire. While the Western Roman Empire lay in ruins after AD 476, the Eastern Roman Empire survived for almost another thousand years.

- Birth: ABT 515, Thuringia, Germany
- Daughter of King Baderich: She was the sister of Ingund and the mother of Chilperic
- LifeSketch: Wikipedia - Aregund, Aregunda, Arnegund, Aregonda, or Arnegonda (c. 515 / 520–580) was a Frankish queen, the wife of Clotaire I, king of the Franks, and the mother of Chilperic I of Neustria. She was the sister of Ingund, one of Clotaire's other wives. Ingund and Aregund were the daughters of Baderic, King of Thuringia. It is said that Ingund was quite alarmed at her sister staying single and asked her husband Clotaire to find Aregund a husband. After meeting his sister-in-law, Clotaire is rumoured to have announced to his wife that he had found her a suitable husband: himself. While Ingund bore 5 sons and one daughter, Aregund bore only one son. The study of a skeleton long identified as Aregund suggests she had a child when she was aged about 18. However, in Frankish society at the time, girls generally married around the age of 15. The same person (whose identification has been disputed) likely had a limp as osteo-archaeology has shown that she suffered from poliomyelitis at a young age. If one accepts the original identification, Clotaire may have married his sister-in-law out of pity, as she was not deemed marriageable due to her lameness. Alternatively, as the death rate from childbirth was high, Aregund may have succeeded her sister to foster her orphaned nephews and nieces. Ingund died between 538 and 546 AD. In 538, Clotaire married Radegund of Thuringia, who was a 1st cousin to Aregund and Ingund. Aregund and Radegund both survived their marriage to Clotaire. Radegund became a Saint, whilst Aregund became the great-grandmother of the last of the Merovingian kings to wield power, Dagobert I.

- Mother: Adaltrude
- Birth: 688, Champagne
- Also known as: Arnould II
- Title Of Nobility: Prince of Champagne
- Named after Bishop Arnulf of Metz, Austrasia, his great great grandfather: (Date and Place unknown)
- LifeSketch: 1. Arnulf (–723) was the oldest son of Drogo, Duke of Champagne, and succeeded his father as duke in 707 or 708. His mother was Adaltrudis. His parents were married around 690. He was named after Bishop Arnulf of Metz, his great-great-grandfather. He is the first Arnulf in his family, the Pippinids, after the bishop. In a charter of June 715, Arnulf, who is described as a duke, and his brothers Hugh, Gotfrid and Pippin, granted land to the church of Saint Arnulf at Metz, in honor of their father, who was buried there. In 716, Arnulf granted the estate of Bollendorf to the Abbey of Echternach, perhaps as an honorarium for the baptism of Arnulf's infant cousin, Pippin the Short, which took place at Easter that year. This charter may reflect a reconciliation of sorts between two branches of the Pippinid family: the elder, represented by Arnulf, eldest son of Drogo, the eldest son of Pippin of Heristal and Plectrudis, and the younger, represented by his uncle, Charles Martel, Pippin's son by Alpaida and father of Pippin the Short. The reconciliation did not last, for two years later Charles was repeating Arnulf's gift to Echternach as if he had taken control of the property in question. In 723, at Charles' command "two sons of Drogo were bound - Arnold [Arnulf] and another who died", either Gotfrid of Pippin. Arnulf's ultimate fate is unknown. 2. This Arnulf is not the same person as Arnoul of Chaumontois who was born 770 and died 820.

- LifeSketch: From Wikipedia - Arrecina Tertulla (died in 62 or 63) was a Roman woman that lived in the 1st century. She came from obscure origins and her family were of Equestrian rank. Tertulla's father was called Marcus Arrecinus Clemens. Clemens was an honourable Praetorian Prefect who served in 38 A.D. in the reign of Emperor Caligula. Tertulla's mother could have been named Julia and she had a brother called Marcus Arrecinus Clemens, who also served as a Praetorian Prefect in 70 under the Emperor Vespasian. Her name "Tertulla", is a nickname for the female cognomen Tertia. Tertia in Latin means "the third daughter". There is a possibility that Tertulla would be related to the paternal side of Vespasian's family. Vespasian's paternal grandmother bore the cognomen Tertulla. Very little is known of Tertulla's family and her life. In 62, Tertulla married the future Emperor Titus, who was Vespasian's first son. This marriage could have been arranged by the fathers of Tertulla and Titus, to promote Titus’ political and military career - and to provide financial relief from the debt incurred by Vespasian's proconsulship. Unfortunately this marriage didn't last, as sometime after the marriage Tertulla died. Titus and Tertulla didn't have any children. In 63, Titus married for the second time to Marcia Furnilla. - LifeSketch: -- Wikiwand: Athanaric Athanaric or Atanaric (Latin: "Athanaricus"; died 381) was king of several branches of the Tervingian Goths for at least two decades in the 4th century. Throughout his reign, Athanaric was faced with invasions by the Roman Empire, the Huns and a civil war with Christian rebels. He is considered the first king of the Visigoths, who later settled in Iberia, where they founded the Visigothic Kingdom. Athanaric made his first appearance in recorded history in 369, when he engaged in battle with the Roman Emperor Valens and ultimately negotiated a favorable peace for his people. During his reign, many Tervingis had converted to Arian Christianity, which Athanaric vehemently opposed, fearing that Christianity would destroy Gothic culture. According to the report of Sozomenos, more than 300 Christians were killed in Athanaric's persecution during the 370s. Socrates Scholasticus, Sozomen, and Zosimus refer to conflicts between Fritigern and Athanaric. Ammianus Marcellinus and Philostorgius do not record such conflicts. According to Socrates, Fritigern and Athanaric were rival leaders of the (Tervingi) Goths. As this rivalry grew into warfare, Athanaric gained the advantage, and Fritigern asked for Roman aid. The Emperor Valens and the Thracian field army intervened, Valens and Fritigern defeated Athanaric, and Fritigern converted to Christianity, following the same teachings as Valens followed. Sozomen follows Socrates' account. According to Zosimus, Athanaric was the king of the Goths. Sometime after their victory at Adrianople, and after the accession of Theodosius, Fritigern, Alatheus, and Saphrax moved north of the Danube and defeated Athanaric, before returning south of the Danube. In 376, Valens permitted Fritigern's people to cross the Danube River and settle on Roman soil to avoid the Huns, who had recently conquered the Greuthungis and were now pressing the Tervingis then living in Dacia. Athanaric's people were left to their fate, but many of them found their own way across the river, as well. In 381, Athanaric unexpectedly came to Constantinople. According to Jordanes, he negotiated a peace with the new emperor, Theodosius I, that made some Tervingis "foederati," or official allies of Rome allowed to settle on Roman soil as a state within a state. Orosius ("Historiae adversum paganos" 7, 34) and Zosimus (New History 4, 34, 3-5) affirm this. But another source, Ammianus Marcellinus (Res gestae 27, 5, 10) tells us an entirely different story. According to him, Athanaric was banished by his fellow tribesmen and forced to seek asylum on Roman territory. Cf. Themistius ("oratio" 15, 190-1), who likewise describes Athanaric as a supplicant and a refugee. A peace and a treaty with the Tervingi (or Visigoths), who still fought the Romans in Thrace, was concluded in 382 and it lasted until the death of Theodosius of Constantinople, in 395.
