- Father: Marcus Antonius II CRETICUS Octavia
- Mother: Julia Antonia CAESARIA , Mother of Mark Antony
- Birth: 88 BC, Rome, Lazio, Italy
- Also known as: Gaius IV Octavius
- Title Of Nobility: appointed Urban Praetor
- LifeSketch: Gaius Antonius (82–42 BC) was the second son of Marcus Antonius Creticus and Julia, and thus, younger brother of Mark Antony, who was one of the members of the Second Triumvirate. Like his brother, Gaius started his life free from paternal guidance, in the midst of scandals, parties and gambling. During Caesar's civil war, Gaius was a legate of Julius Caesar (49 BC) and was entrusted with the defense of Illyria against Pompeians and with the campaign to regain cities already taken by rebels and the Pompeians. Gaius was entrusted with the newly recruited 24th legion and half of the new 28th legion. On the way to Illyria, Antonius was intercepted by a Pompeian fleet. Led by centurion Titus Pullo, the men refused to fight, and turned traitor. They were then reported to be fighting at the Battle of Dyrrachium. With all the members of the Antonius family, he was then promoted to high offices of the cursus honorum. In 44 BC, Gaius was urban praetor, while his brothers Mark Antony and Lucius Antonius were consul and tribune respectively. After the assassination of Caesar, Gaius (as a Caesarean) was appointed governor to the Roman province of Macedonia. Marcus Junius Brutus and the other assassins, however, chose Macedonia as refuge from Octavian and - following opposition from Gaius - dispossessed him of his governorship. Brutus at first seemed to treat him generously, but, on finding that he was attempting to persuade his troops to mutiny, ultimately ordered his death.

- Father: Bröt-Anund INGVARSSON
- Birth: ABT 565
- Title Of Nobility: König von Schweden in Uppsala
- Clan Name: House of Ynglings
- LifeSketch: Ingald König von Schweden was born circa 565. He was the son of Adila König von Schweden. He married Gauthild von Gotland, daughter of Gautrech König von Gotland. He died in 610. He was King. v. Schweden 590. Child of Ingald König von Schweden and Gauthild von Gotland . Olaf König von Vermland b. c 600, d. 650 ____________________________________________________ Ingjald illråde or Ingjaldr hinn illráði (Ingold Illruler or Illready) was a semi-legendary Swedish king of the House of Ynglings, son and successor of King Anund, and the father and predecessor of King Olof Trätälja. As with many of the 5th-7th century Yngling Kings of Sweden, his historicity is contested. Ingjald is mentioned in medieval historiographical sources including Ynglinga saga, Historia Norvegiæ, Hervarar saga, Upplendinga Konungum, Þorsteins saga Víkingssonar and Íslendingabók. The setting of Þorsteins saga Víkingssonar is roughly the 7th century. Johannes Magnus in his 16th-century list of kings places Ingjald (Ingevallus, Ingellus) in AD 883 Snorri Sturluson relates that when his father Anund had died, Ingjald became the king of Sweden. The kings at Uppsala were the foremost among the kings of the various provinces since Odin ruled the country, and they were the supreme chiefs of the other kingdoms since the death of Agne and Sweden was divided between Erik and Alrik. The descendants of these two kings had spread, cleared land and settled new territories, until there were several petty kings. In honour of his own ascendance to the throne, Ingjald invited the kings, the jarls and other important men to a grand feast in a newly built hall, just as large and sumptuous as the one in Uppsala. It was called the hall of the seven kings and had seven high seats. Algaut the Geatish king of West Götaland, King Ingvar of Fjädrundaland with his two sons Agnar and Alf, King Sporsnjall of Nerike and King Sigvat of Attundaland came but not King Granmar of Södermanland. The kings filled all seven seats but one. All the prominent people of Sweden had seats, except for Ingjald's own court whom he had sent to his old hall in Uppsala. When all the prominent guests were drunk, he ordered Svipdag's sons, Gautvid and Hylvid, to arm themselves and their men and to leave the building. Outside, they set fire to the building which burnt down and those who tried to escape were killed. Thus Ingjald made himself the sole ruler of the domains of the murdered kings. Granmar won allies in his son-in-law the sea-king Hjörvard of the Ylfings and his father-in-law Högne the Geatish king of East Götaland. They successfully withstood Ingjald's invasion where Ingjald realised that the men from the provinces he had conquered were not loyal to him. After a long standstill there was peace for as long as the three kings lived. However, one night Ingjald and his men surrounded a farm where Granmar and Hjörvard were at a feast and burnt the house down. He later disposed of five more kings, and he thus earned the name Illråde (ill-ruler) as he fulfilled his promise. Snorri Sturluson tells that it was a common saying that Ingjald killed twelve kings by deceiving them that he only wished for peace, and that he thus earned his cognomen Illråde (ill-ruler or ill-adviser). Ingjald had two children, a son Olof Trätälja and a daughter Åsa. His daughter had inherited her father's psychopathic disposition. She married King Guðröðr of Skåne. Before she murdered her husband she managed to make him kill his own brother Halfdan the Valiant, the father of the great Ivar Vidfamne. In order to avenge his father, Ivar Vidfamne gathered a vast host and departed for Sweden, where he found Ingjald at Ræning. When Ingjald and his daughter realized that it was futile to resist, they set the hall on fire and succumbed in the flames. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingjald https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingjald_Illr%C3%A5de https://nn.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingjald_Illr%C3%A5de https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingjald_Illr%C3%A5de

- LifeSketch: BIO: from British Kings and Queens (Mike Ashley) p 131+ Artglys, Ceredigion, fl 640s Artglys lived a a time when Gwynedd underwent an internal struggle between its ruling dynasty and the usurper Cadfael. Consequenlty Ceredigion could seek some independence, and the archeological evidence indicates that around the early seventh century Ceredigion began to develop its own culture. Artglys probably started what his son Clydog continued and which developed particularly in the reign of Seisyll.

- LifeSketch: Iago ap Beli was King of Gwynedd from about 599 to about 616. Little is known of him or his kingdom from this early era, with only a few anecdotal mentions of him in historical documents. Iago ap Beli was the son and successor of King Beli ap Rhun, and is listed in the royal genealogies of the Harleian genealogies and in Jesus College MS. 20. The only other record of him is the note of his death, which occurred in the same year as the Battle of Chester (Welsh: "Gwaith Caer Lleon"), with no connection between Iago's death and the famous battle, and with no evidence that it occurred in Gwynedd. Iago was succeeded as king by his son, Cadfan ap Iago. The 1766 publication of Henry Rowlands's "Mona Antiqua Restaurata" says that the archives of the cathedral at Bangor mention Iago as having founded a deanery there ("Iago ap Beli Rex Decanatu Ecclesiam ditavit"). However, the correctness of the archive's assertion is challenged in Haddan and Stubbs' authoritative "Councils and Ecclesiastical Documents Relating to Great Britain and Ireland," where it is noted that "the earliest historical testimony to a Dean at Bangor is 1162." In the medieval "Welsh Triads," the death of King Iago ap Beli is described as the result of an axe-blow by one of his own men, a certain Cadafael Wyllt (English: Cadafael the Wild). In his "Celtic Britain," John Rhys notes that the "Annals of Tigernach" mention Iago's death and use the word "dormitat" (or "dormitato," meaning "sleep" in the sense of a euphemism for death), contradicting the notion of a violent death. Further, as the word "dormitato" generally was used in reference to clerics, it is possible that Iago resigned his kingship and thereafter led a clerical life. The largely fictional stories of ancient Britain written by Geoffrey of Monmouth use the names of many historical personages as characters, and the use of these names is a literary convenience made in order to advance the plot of Geoffrey's stories. One of these stories uses the names of Iago's son Cadfan and other contemporary people, telling of how a certain Edwin spent his exiled youth in Gwynedd, growing up alongside Iago's grandson, the future King Cadwallon. There is no historical basis for this story, as is readily acknowledged in the preface of works on the subject. Nevertheless, a "traditional" story arose blending Geoffrey's fiction with known history, implying that the future King Edwin of Northumbria actually had spent his youth in Gwynedd, growing up alongside Iago's grandson, the future King Cadwallon. In point of fact, Cadwallon and Edwin were enemies with no known youthful connections; King Edwin invaded Gwynedd and drove King Cadwallon into exile, and it would be Cadwallon, in alliance with Penda of Mercia, who would ultimately defeat and kill Edwin in 633 at the Battle of Hatfield Chase (Welsh: "Gwaith Meigen"). The story that they had spent an idyllic youth together may have had a romantic appeal. What is known from history is that in 588 King Ælla of Deira died, and Æthelfrith of Bernicia took the opportunity to invade and conquer Deira, driving Ælla's 3-year-old infant son, the future Edwin of Northumbria, into exile. Edwin eventually would ally himself with Rædwald of East Anglia in 616, defeating and killing Æthelfrith and becoming one of Northumbria's most successful kings. Edwin's life in exile is unknown, and there is no historical basis for placing him in Gwynedd. -- Wikiwand: Iago ap Beli
