- Title Of Nobility: Governon of Picenum under Constantinius II
- Life Sketch: According to Socrates of Constantinople: "Justus the father of Justina, who had been governor of Picenum under the reign of Constantius, had a dream in which he seemed to himself to bring forth the imperial purple out of his right side. When this dream had been told to many persons, it at length came to the knowledge of Constantius, who conjecturing it to be a presage that a descendant of Justus would become emperor, caused him to be assassinated."

- Father: Lothar Römischer Kaiser
- Mother: Ermengarde DE TOURS Reine des Francs
- Birth: 845
- LifeSketch: Karl was the youngest son of Emperor Lothar I from his marriage to Irmingard von Tours. In 855, with the division of Prüm, together with Provence, he was assigned a part of Burgundy (with the exception of Bourgogne). His older brother Lothar, however, contested his part of the empire, and a final decision was not made until 856 at a meeting in Orbe, where the powerful of this part of the empire probably enforced Charles' own rule. [1] Lothar later accepted Charles 'kingship and concluded a friendship treaty with him in the spring of 858, in which he transferred the territory of two bishoprics to Karl from his empire and in return received an inheritance claim to Charles' empire if Charles died without sons

- LifeSketch: Wikipedia Carloman I (28 June 751 – 4 December 771) was king of the Franks from 768 until his death in 771. He was the second surviving son of Pepin the Short and Bertrada of Laon and was a younger brother of Charlemagne. His death allowed Charlemagne to take all of Francia and begin his expansion into other kingdoms. At the age of 3 he was, together with his father Pepin the Short and his elder brother Charlemagne, anointed King of the Franks and titled "Patrician of the Romans" by Pope Stephen II, who had left Rome to beg the Frankish King for assistance against the Lombards. Carloman and Charlemagne each inherited a half of the Kingdom of the Franks upon Pepin's death. His share was based in the centre of the Frankish Kingdom, with his capital at Soissons, and consisted of the Parisian basin, the Massif Central, the Languedoc, Provence, Burgundy, southern Austrasia, Alsace and Alemannia; the regions were poorly integrated and surrounded by those bequeathed to Charlemagne, and, although Carloman's territories were easier to defend than those of Charlemagne, they were also poorer in income. It is commonly agreed that Carloman and Charlemagne disliked each other, although the reasons behind this are unclear: some historians suggest that each brother considered himself rightfully to be the sole heir of their father – Charlemagne as the elder child, Carloman as the legitimate child (Charlemagne is sometimes claimed to have been born a bastard in 742, a claim not always accepted) Be that as it may, Pepin the Short's disposal of his kingdom appears to have exacerbated the bad relations between the pair, since it required co-operation between them and left both feeling cheated. Carloman's reign proved short and troublesome. The brothers shared possession of Aquitaine, which broke into rebellion upon the death of Pepin the Short; when Charlemagne campaigned to put down the revolt, Carloman led his own army to assist. The two quarreled at Moncontour, near Poitiers, and Carloman withdrew. Charlemagne crushed the rebels, whilst Carloman's behaviour had damaged his own standing amongst the Franks. Relations between the two then degenerated further, requiring the mediation of their mother, Bertrada, who appears to have favoured Charlemagne, with whom she would live out her widowhood. In 770, his mother Bertrada began a series of diplomatic offensives to encircle Carloman. Charlemagne had married Desiderata, the daughter of the Lombard king Desiderius in Italy, which created an alliance between Charlemagne and the Lombards; Bertrada had also secured for Charlemagne the friendship of Tassilo, Duke of Bavaria, her husband's nephew; she had even attempted to secure Papal support for the marriage by arranging for Desiderius to cede certain territories to Rome, to which the Papacy laid claim. Although Pope Stephen III remained hostile to an alliance between the Franks and the Lombards in theory, in reality, he was deeply conflicted between the threat the Lombards posed to him and the chance to dispose of the anti-Lombard Christopher the Primicerius, the dominant figure at the Papal court. These maneuvers had been favorable to the Franks in general, but posed serious threats to Carloman's position. He had been left without allies: he attempted to use his brother's alliance with the Lombards to his own advantage in Rome, offering his support against the Lombards to Stephen III and entering into secret negotiations with the Primicerius, Christopher, who has been isolated by the Franco-Lombard rapprochement; but after the murder of Christopher by Desiderius, Stephen III gave his support to the Lombards and Charlemagne. Carloman's position was rescued, however, by Charlemagne's sudden repudiation of his Lombard wife, Desiderius' daughter. Desiderius, outraged and humiliated, appears to have made an alliance with Carloman in opposition to Charlemagne and the Papacy, which took the opportunity to declare itself against the Lombards. Carloman died on 4 December 771, at the Villa of Samoussy; the death, sudden and convenient though it was, was set down to natural causes (a severe nosebleed is sometimes claimed as being at fault). At the time of his death, he and his brother Charlemagne were close to outright war, which Charlemagne's biographer Einhard attributes to the miscounsel of Carloman's advisors. Carloman was buried in Reims, but he was reburied in the Basilique Saint-Denis in the 13th century. Carloman married a Frankish woman, Gerberga, who according to Pope Stephen III was chosen for him, together with Charlemagne's concubine, Himiltrude, by Pepin the Short. With Gerberga he had two sons, the older of whom was named Pepin after his grandfather, marking him according to Carolingian tradition as the heir of Carloman, and of Pepin the Short. After Carloman's death, Gerberga expected her elder son to become King, and for herself to rule as his regent; however, Carloman's former supporters – his cousin Adalhard, Abbot Fulrad of Saint Denis and Count Warin – turned against her, and invited Charlemagne to annex Carloman's territory, which he duly did. Gerberga then fled with her sons and Count Autchar, one of Carloman's faithful nobles, to the court of Desiderius, who demanded of the new Pope Hadrian I that he anoint Carloman's sons as Kings of the Franks. Gerberga's flight ultimately precipitated Charlemagne's destruction of the Kingdom of the Lombards; he responded to Desiderius' support of Carloman's children, which threatened Charlemagne's own position, by sweeping into Italy and subjugating it. Desiderius and his family were captured, tonsured, and sent to Frankish religious houses; the fate of Gerberga and her children by Carloman is unknown, although it is possible that they, too, were sent by Charlemagne to monasteries and nunneries. Despite their difficult relationship, and the events following Carloman's death, Charlemagne would later name his second legitimate son "Carloman" after his deceased brother. This had, perhaps, been a public gesture to honour the memory of the boy's uncle, and to quell any rumours about Charlemagne's treatment of his nephews. If so, it was swept away in 781, when Charlemagne had his son renamed as Pepin. Carloman had several children with Gerberga : . - Also known as: "Claffon" "Claffo" "Clef" "Clefi" "Cleph" , "Clepho" , "Clephon" , "Klaffo" , "Klapho" , "Kleph"
- Migration of the Rugii from Rugiland: In their fight for independence from the Huns, the Ostrogoths defeat and rout Attila's sons. They inherit control of Pannonia as a result, and absorb elements from other, smaller tribes, such as the Scirii. The Rugii avoid this fate by settling Bohemia and Lower Austria, to the north-west, areas that have recently been vacated by the Marcomanni. Their territory becomes known as the kingdom of Rugiland, but its creation helps in the collapse of the Roman province of Noricum.

- Father: Wido I Graf und Herzog von Spoleto
- Mother: Itana von Salerno
- Birth: 830, Frankenreich
- Title Of Nobility: Duke of Spoleto
- Duke of: BET 859 AND 871
- Fact: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/147654246/Lambert%20I-di%20Spoleto
- LifeSketch: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lambert_I_of_Spoleto Lambert I (died 880) was the duke and margrave (dux et marchio) of Spoleto on two occasions, first from 859 to 871 and then from 876 to his death. Lambert was the eldest son of Guy I of Spoleto and Itta, daughter of Sico of Benevento. He married Judith, daughter of Eberhard of Friuli. In his first year of rule, he joined Gerard, count of the Marsi; Maielpoto, gastald of Telese; and Wandelbert, gastald of Boiano, to prevent Sawdan, the Saracen emir of Bari, from reentering his city after a campaign against Capua and the Lavorno. Despite a bloody battle, he successfully entered Bari. In April 860, Lambert joined with Hildebert, count of Camerino, in rebelling against the Emperor Louis II. Chased by an imperial army into the Marsi, from there they fled to Benevento and took refuge under Prince Adelchis. Louis surrounded the city and pardoned both Lambert and his protector in return for their loyalty. Hildebert, however, fled further to Bari. In 866, Louis unsuccessfully besieged Landulf II, the count-bishop of Capua. He even granted Lambert the county of Capua to continue the siege. At that moment, the duchy of Spoleto had reached its greatest extent. Lambert left the siege of Capua and went Rome after the election of Adrian II on 13 November 867. On 13 December, Lambert plundered Rome during the papal coronation ceremony. He was promptly excommunicated and, as the emperor supported Adrian's pontificate, lost the patronage of Louis. It was three years before he rebelled a second time, though. In 871, after the emperor greatly increased his power and prestige by capturing Bari, Lambert allied with Guaifer of Salerno, Sergius II of Naples, and Adelchis of Benevento and entered into open revolt against the emperor. The Saracens, however, landed new forces and attacked Salerno. Adelchis, who had imprisoned the emperor while Lambert was staying in Benevento, released his captive to lead the forces against the infidels. The free emperor immediately deposed Lambert from his imperial position and replaced him with Suppo III, a cousin of his wife Engelberga. Louis returned to the Mezzogiorno in 873, the pope having absolved him from the oaths he had sworn to Adelchis in return for liberty. He besieged Benevento, but failed to take Lambert. After his death, he was replaced as emperor by his uncle Charles the Bald, who reappointed Lambert to his old post in Spoleto (February or June 876). He also appointed Lambert's younger brother Guy as margrave of Camerino with the job of protecting the pope. On 16 July, at Ponthion, Charles confirmed the donation of a large part of Spoletan territory to the papacy, but Lambert was still the most powerful lord in the central peninsula and a practically independent prince. In 877, Charles died and Lambert supported Carloman of Bavaria over Charles' heir, Louis the Stammerer, for the kingship of Italy and the emperorship. Lambert himself entered Rome with the intent of making himself king, but was dissuaded by Pope John VIII. In March 878, Lambert and Adalbert I of Tuscany[1] forced the populace to acknowledge Carloman as king. The two then besieged the pope in the Leonine City for thirty days and John fled Rome for Troyes. At Troyes, he held a synod in which he offered to crown Louis the Stammerer emperor, adopted Boso of Arles as his son, and excommunicated his Italian enemies (Lambert and Adalbert). The pope even accused Lambert of desiring the imperial crown for himself, which is probable considering the subsequent history of his dynasty. Lambert returned his sights to Capua after this Roman episode. He died besieging that city in 880. He was succeeded by his son Guy II. His brother Guy became king and emperor, as did his nephew and namesake Lambert II. The Archbishop of Rheims Fulk the Venerable, cautioned Lambert II against following his eponymous uncle's example.

Gregory of Tours names Lanthechild as sister of King Clovis, specifying that she was baptised with him after having followed the Arian faith[27]. She converted to Arianism, according to the title of one of the sermons of Avitus Bishop of Vienne _________________________________________________ Lantechildis (or Lenteildis) was a Frankish noblewoman, the daughter of the Frankish king Childeric I (d. 481) and the Thuringian noblewoman Basina (d. 477). She was a sister of Clovis I. She converted to Arianism and received Arian baptism. She may have been influenced to convert after her sister Audofleda converted at her marriage to the Ostrogothic king Theoderic the Great. Later she converted again and received a Catholic baptism like her brother and sister, Albofledis. Clovis' baptism took place between 496/498 and 508/509. She is mentioned in Gregory of Tours and the Liber historiae Francorum. Her conversion from heresy was the subject of a sermon by Bishop Avitus of Vienne entitled in Latin Homilia de conversione Lenteildis Chlodovaei sororis, "Homily on the conversion of Clovis' sister Lenteildis". Avitus preached the sermon at her baptism.

- Father: Gotfrid Herzog der Alamannen
- Mother: Unknown VON BAYERN
- Birth: 670, Alemanni
- Also known as: Lanfred, (lat. Lantfridus oder Lanfredus
- Title Of Nobility: Duke of Alamannia ...

- Birth: ABT 635
- LifeSketch: According to the "Vita Haimhrammi" of the Freising Bishop Arbeo, he is the murderer of St. Emmeram. When Emmeram was on a trip to Rome, he rode after him and cruelly tortured him and his followers near Helfendorf. The murderer was then banished. Lantpert (or Landbert or Landfried) (born before 636, died after 680) was the son of Theodo, duke of Bavaria, and Gleisnot of Friuli. According to the Vita Hamhrammi by Arbeo, bishop of Freising, Lantpert is the murderer of the Saint Emmeram . Emmeram had been a guest of the ducal court for three years, where he was known for his chaste and pure lifestyle. Uta, daughter of Duke Theodo and sister to Lantpert, had become pregnant by her lover. Fearing her father's wrath, she confided to Emmeram and the saint promised bear the blame, as he was about to travel to Rome. Soon after his departure, Uta's predicament became known and in keeping with the agreement she named Emmeram the father. Lantpert went after Emmeram and greeted him as "bishop and brother-in-law" (Aie, episcope et gener noster!) Then he had Emmeram cut and torn into pieces. Nothing more is known of Lantpert and his sister Uta. Lantpert's deed might be the cause for the Lex Baiuvariorum's unique penalty for killing a bishop: a leaden copy of the corpse was weighed with gold.

- Laienabt von Münster-Granfelden: (Date and Place unknown)
- It is very likely that Ava, the wife of Margrave Unruoch from the Friulian ducal family, has been identified as his daughter, and as a child of this marriage they found a Gisela.: (Date and Place unknown)

- LifeSketch: Lleiffer Mawr (King Lucius) is traditionally credited with introducing Christianity into Britain. There is no contemporary evidence for such a claim, albeit for centuries the story of this "first Christian king" was widely believed, especially in Britain. He was popularly held to have ‘increased the light’ of Joseph’s [of Arimethea’s] first missionaries, and accordingly became known as Lleiffer Mawr (the Great Luminary).
- Title Of Nobility: King of Briton

- LifeSketch: Lleuver Mawr was the second blessed sovereign, a great grandson of Carodoc. He was baptized at Winchester by his father's first cousin, St. Timothy, who suffered martyrdom at age 90 on 22 August A.D. 139. In A.D. 170 Lucius succeeded to the throne of Britain and became the first Christian king in the world. He founded the first church at Llandaff and changed the established religion of Britain from Druidism to Christianity. He died in A.D. 181 leaving an only recorded child, a daughter, Gladys.

- Also known as: Llyr Llediaith ap Baran of Catuvallauni
- LifeSketch: Llyr ws educated in Rome by Augustus Ceasar. Among the "wise sayings" recorded by the Bards we find this attributed to Llyr: "No folly but ends in misery". Llŷr Llediaith (also known as Llyr Lleddiarth, King Lear, Lear II, Tasciovanus, Half-Speech) is a mythical British King. Llediaith, which means literally "half-speech", is said to refer to "the act of speaking Welsh with a foreign accent"[citation needed]. He was educated in Rome by Augustus Caesar. His home was at Dunraven Castle, which was situated on a hill called Twyn Rhyvan (the Hill of Rome) located in Glamorgan. He is probably the same as Leir of Britain.
