- Father: Vortigern AP GWIDOL High King of Britain
- Mother: Severa VERCH MACSEN WLEDIG
- Birth: 404, Powys, Wales
- Also known as: Cadeyrn Catigern Fendigaid "The Blessed' ap Vortigern Deyrnllyg
- LifeSketch: Cadeyrn was nominally a King of Powys, though how much independence he would have had from his father Vortigern's high-kingdom is unclear. The area was certainly the adopted homeland of the Vorteneu family and therefore it was given to Cadeyrn as Vortigern's second son. Cadeyrn was a warrior king (his name actually means 'Battle-Prince') who led the British troops at the Battle of Rithergabail (Aylesford, Kent) in AD 447, after his brother Vortimer's revolt against their father and his invading Saxon henchmen. He was killed on the battlefield and buried under nearby Kit's Coyty House, a megalithic dolmen. Cateyrn was succeeded on the throne of Powys by his son, Cadell Ddyrnllug. He may have had a second son named Rhuddfedel Frych (the Freckled).

- Occupation: Roi de Powys
- Occupation: Roi
- LifeSketch: Manwgan, King of Powys (Born c.AD 610) (Latin: Manucanus; English: Mancenn) Manwgan appears to have been a very small boy when his father, Selyf Sarffgadau (Battle-Snake) was killed at the Battle of Caer-Legion (Chester) in 613. One theory asserts that this led to an invasion of Powys by Eluadd ap Glast (alias Eluan Powys), the erstwhile King of Dogfeiling. The usurper probably managed to hold the throne for some thirty years or more before he was killed fighting the Northumbrians, possibly at the Battle of Maes-Cogwy (Oswestry) in 642. The Dogfeiling dynasty was finally crushed by the Saxons around 656, and Manwgan was able to take his rightful place on the Powysian throne. EBK: King Manwgan of Powys. (2017). - Also known as: Selyf ap Cynan Garwyn
- Occupation: Roi de Powys
- LifeSketch: Was Selyf ap Cynan or Selyf ap Cynan Garwyn (d. About 615 ), a prince of the former Powys. He was the son of king Cynan Garwyn, the subject of one of the earliest poems in the Welsh language, namely 'Trawsganu Cynan Garwyn,' the work of the poet Taliesin. His dad was Brochfael Ysgithrog, king Powys mid 6 th . Selyf is sometimes referred to as 'Selyf Sarggadau'. His son, Manwgan ap Selyf , became king of Powys. At that time the boundaries of Powys extending east, over the Offa's Dyke today, and include significant parts of the Borderlands. Selyf was sent by his father (some sources can be read to mean that Cynan is dead and his son reigns) to try to protect Powys from Anglo-Saxons. Selyf joined his warriors with the Brython army who fell in the Battle of Chester (615 or 616) (recorded in the Annales Cambriae) when he fought against Æthelfrith from Northumbria. This is the first connection between a king of England with Chymry. It is possible that Selyf was the leader of the Britons' forces in that crucial battle, which broke the connection between the reigns of Wales and the Old North. Arofan is referred to as "poet Selyf ap Cynan" in the Tales of Britain. In another trio, he is one of 'Three Air Force (war leaders) of the Island of Britain', with Urien fab Cynfarch (Urien Rheged) and Afaon fab Taliesin. In a variation on one of the Trio found in the Black Book of Carmarthen, the march of Selyf is called Du Hir Derwenydd, one of 'Three Thom Edystr Ynys Prydain' (Three Phonster). There is also a reference to the legend of the Rhonabwy Dream, as one of Arthur's knights (there is no historical basis for that connection). Selyf was still in the middle of the Middle Ages. The poet Cynddelw Brydydd Mawr refers to the warriors of Powys as "Selyf dances."

They were a more"earthy" type of people and the family was in trouble several times for things we would think nothing of today but in the Puritan era was very offensive. - Birth: ABT 1595, England
- Occupation: Iron Worker, 1640, Lynn, Massachusetts Bay, British Colonial America
- A Quinton & Robert Pray, twins, were baptized - NOT proved as THIS Quinton Pray!: A Quinton & Robert Pray, twins, were baptized Chiddingtone, 23 Nov 1595, sons of a ROBERT Pray. There is no documentation tying this infant to the Quintin Pray of New England, but is a "possible" connection. No mother was listed.
- Death location of Quinton Pray: Quinton Pray's death is recorded in Braintree. Joan was named administrator of his estate. Quinton and Joan are said to be buried Hancock, Cemetery, Quincy, Norfolk Co, MA.
- LifeSketch: He may have arrived in Lynn, 1643, on the ship "An Cleeve" out of London. All their children are believed to have born in England. John Winthrop, Jr "did at great costs and charges imbarque himself with many workmen, servants, and materials for the setting up of iron works". 19 Jan 1643 Town of Boston granted to John Winthrop and his associates 3000 acres of land on the Manatiquot River to be laid out adjoining their said iron works. The "An Cleeve" was commissioned by John Winthrop, Jr - a list of passengers does not survive. In 1646, Quinton Pray worked in Lynn, MA in the Iron Works as a fineryman. He was first at the iron works in Kittery, Maine. By 1651 he had moved to Braintree where he was a supervisor at the Iron Works there. NEHG Register, Vol. 55, 1901, p.280 "Pray of York & Kittery, Maine" by Henry Ernest Woods. States that Quinton Pray appears to have been one of the ironworkers who came to Lynn in 1643, under the auspices of the Iron Works Company, at its beginning in New England. He perhaps sailed from England when John Winthrop, Jr, in 1643 brought many workmen, servants & material for the setting up of iron workers, in the good ship the An Cleeve, of London. Later he removed to Braintree, continuing in the Iron Works there. It may be significant that Anderson & Downing, two of the foundrymen at Lynn were from Scotland. Quentin thought to be a not uncommon given name in Scotland. Suffolk Deeds, Liber XI, Rockwell & Churchill Press, Boston, 1900 12 Sep 1667 Deed from John Paine of Boston, sold to Richard Thayer of Brantery [Braintree] a dwelling hour, coal house, orchards, dam, with the lands adjoining thereto on the North side of the Manaticote River. Part of it formerly in the hands of Quinton Pray, otherwise known as the Iron Works at Braintree. Excepting a pasture of six acres, barn & part of the orchard thereto, three acres sold to Thomas Thayer, and four acres sold to John Pray and a parcel called by the name of Huns Lot. Also a parcel of land of 30 acres joining up to the South end of the dam aforesaid, in Braintree between the lands of Thomas Thayer toward the west and lands of Capt Thomas Savage towards the East, abutting up the sd River Manaticot on the North. Signed by John Paine Acknowledged by Paine 16.7.67. [September 16th] Quinton Pray's death is recorded in Braintree. Joan was named administrator of his estate. Quinton and Joan are said to be buried Hancock, Cemetery, Quincy, Norfolk Co, MA Birthplace is not documented! One entry at Family Tree states that the "Quentin" Pray who was married to Joan Vallance was christened 23 Nov 1595 in Chiddingstone, Kent, England. Other sources are that he was born in 1595 of South Berwick, York, Maine and was christened 27 August 1594 in South Berwick, York, Maine (which didn't, of course, exist in 1594 or 1595). Another entry suggests he was christened with a brother on 23 November 1595 in Newcastle on Tyne, Northumberland. Quinton Pray was married to Joan Valliance 21 June 1621 in Mayfield, Sussex, England. Christening records for many of their known children (whose names come from U.S. records after the immigrated) have been located in Frant, Sussex, England, making Quinton Pray's birthplace less likely to be in the north of England, as some have suggested.

- Also known as: Chad
- Affiliation: House of Wessex, House of Cerdic, Cerdicingas
- LifeSketch: Cedda, also Ceadda, Cadda and Chad. His name is derived from the Brythonic root 'cat' or 'cad', meaning 'battle'. Cedda was the 2nd son of Prince Cuthwine, son of King Ceawlin of Wessex. Cedda was born in 590 and had 1 older brother Cynebald born in 590, and a younger brother Cuthwulf, born 592, the name of their mother is not recorded. Cedda's grandfather Ceawlin was the King of Wessex, however, in June 592 he lost the throne and the entire family fled into exile. Cynebald would have been no more than 1 or 2 at the time. It is believed that his mother, who gave birth to his youngest brother about this time, possibly died in the tumult surrounding the loss of the throne and the family's flight into exile. The name of Cedda's wife is not known, however, they were the parents of one son: Coenberht, who was the father of King Caedwalla of Wessex. It is not known when Cedda died.

- SUPPORTED THE WRONG KING: Edmund's uncle Edgar Ætheling and Edmund's younger brothers, came north in 1097, driving Donald from the throne and installing Edmund's younger brother Edgar as king, with Alexander as his heir-designate.
- TONSURED AND EXILED: For siding with Donald III and betraying his own brothers, Edmund was tonsured and sent to the Cluniac monastery at Montacute in Somerset. He fared better than Donald who was mutilated and died in prison in 1099
- LifeSketch: Edmund or Etmond mac Maíl Coluim (after 1070 – after 1097) was a son of Máel Coluim mac Donnchada and his second wife Margaret. He may be found on some lists of Scottish kings, but there is no evidence that he was king. On the death of Edmund's father and his heir-designate, Edward, his eldest son by Margaret, in November 1093, Máel Coluim's brother Domnall Bán took the throne. Edmund and his younger brothers Edgar, Alexander and David fled abroad, to England, to join their half-brother Donnchad at the court of William Rufus. In 1094 Donnchad, with Rufus's blessing and the support of landless nobles from the English court and landowners in Lothian, drove Domnall Bán from the throne. It is supposed that Edmund, as the next in age, was Donnchad's heir-designate. Donnchad was forced by a rebellion to send his English allies home, and was shortly afterwards killed. The killer was Máel Petair, Mormaer of Mearns, but the Annals of Ulster and William of Malmesbury agree that the killing was done on the orders of Domnall Bán and Edmund. What caused Edmund to join with his uncle is unknown. It is assumed that Domnall appointed him his heir as Domnall had no sons of his own, and it is thought that Edmund was granted an appanage to rule. Edmund's maternal uncle Edgar Ætheling came north in 1097, driving Domnall from the throne and installing Edgar as King, with Alexander as his heir-designate. While Domnall was mutilated and imprisoned, dying in 1099, Edmund was more fortunate. He was tonsured and sent to the Cluniac monastery at Montacute in Somerset. The exact date of his death is unknown. While marching north again, Malcolm was ambushed by Robert de Mowbray, Earl of Northumbria, whose lands he had devastated, near Alnwick on 13 November 1093. There he was killed by Arkil Morel, steward of Bamburgh Castle. The conflict became known as the Battle of Alnwick. Edward was mortally wounded in the same fight. Margaret, it is said, died soon after receiving the news of their deaths from Edgar. ------------------------------- MALCOLM (1031-killed in battle near Alnwick, Northumberland 13 Nov 1093, buried Tynemouth, later transferred to Dunfermline Abbey, Fife, and later still to Escorial, Madrid). He succeeded in 1058 as MALCOLM III "Caennmor/Bighead" King of Scotland. Cawley’s Medlands The 12th century Cronica Regum Scottorum names "Malcolaim filii Donnchada" in one of its lists[307]. The Chronicon of Marianus Scottus records that "Moelcol…filius Donchael" succeeded Lulach in 1058[308]. [Florence of Worcester records that "dux Northhymbrorum Siwardus" defeated "rege Scottorum Macbeotha" in battle, dated to 1054, and installed "Malcolmum regis Cumbrorum filium" in his place[309]. The Annales Dunelmenses record that "Siwardus" put "Macbeth" to flight in 1054 and installed "Malcolmum rege" in the following year[310]. It is not clear that these two accounts refer to the future King Malcolm III: it is uncertain why King Malcolm would be called "regis Cumbrorum filium".] The Annals of Tigernach record that “Lulach rí Alban” was killed by “Mael-Coluimb, son of Donnchad” in 1058[311]. The Chronicle of John of Fordun records that Malcolm recaptured his kingdom with the help of "Siward Earl of Northumberland" and killed "Machabeus" 5 Dec 1056[312]. He succeeded in 1058 as MALCOLM III "Caennmor/Bighead" King of Scotland, crowned 25 Apr 1058 at Scone Abbey, Perthshire. Duncan cites sources which demonstrate that this nickname was first applied to King Malcolm III in the 13th century[313]. He suggests[314] that it was originally applied to King Malcolm IV who, he asserts, suffered from Paget's disease, involving a deformation of the bones particularly observable in the skull, and was later misapplied to King Malcolm III. King Malcolm supported the claim to the English crown of Edgar ætheling, whose sister he had married, and led plundering raids into England. Florence of Worcester records that he did homage to William I King of England at Abernethy in Aug 1072[315]. The same source records that King Malcolm invaded Northumberland in 1091, but did fealty to Willam II King of England after peace was negotiated between the two kings[316]. Florence of Worcester records that "rex Scottorum Malcolmus et primogenitus filius suus Eadwardus" were killed in battle in Northumbria "die S Bricii" [13 Nov] by the army of "Rotberti Northymbrorum comitis"[317]. William of Malmesbury records that he was killed, with his son Edward, by Morael of Bamborough, steward of Robert Mowbray Earl of Northumberland, while leading a raid into England[318]. The Annals of Ulster record that "Mael Coluim son of Donnchad, over-king of Scotland, and Edward his son, were killed by the French in Inber Alda in England"[319]. Cawley’s Medlands [m] [firstly] ([before 1058]) Ingiborg. King Malcolm III & Ingiborg had two children: 1. DUNCAN ([1060/65]-murdered Monthechim/Mondynes, Kincardineshire 12 Nov 1094, bur Dunfermline Abbey, Fife). m ([1090]) ETHELREDA of Northumberland, daughter of GOSPATRICK Earl of Northumberland & his wife --- (bur Dunfermline Abbey, Fife). King Duncan II & his wife had one child: a) WILLIAM FitzDuncan ([1091/94]-[1153/54]). 2. DONALD ([1060/65]-killed in battle 1085). m ---. The name of Donald's wife is not known. Donald & his wife had [one possible child]: a) LADHMANN (-killed in battle 1116). m [secondly] (Dunfermline Abbey 1070) MARGARET of England, daughter of EDWARD Ætheling of England & his wife Agatha --- ([in Hungary] [1046/53]-Edinburgh Castle 16 Nov 1093, bur Dunfermline Abbey, Fife, transferred to Escorial, Madrid, her head bur Jesuit College, Douai). Although Margaret's birth is often placed in [1045/46][321], a later birth would be more consistent with the "German" theory of her mother's origin (as discussed in the document ANGLO-SAXON KINGS). Margaret's birth as late as 1053 would still be consistent with her having given birth to four children before her daughter Edith/Matilda (later wife of Henry I King of England), whose birth is estimated to have taken place in [1079/80]. The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle records that Margaret left England with her mother in Summer 1067 and found refuge at the court of Malcolm King of Scotland[322]. Florence of Worcester records that "clitone Eadgaro et matre sua Agatha duabusque sororibus suis Margareta et Christina" left England for Scotland, in a passage which deals with events in mid-1068[323]. Florence of Worcester records that "regina Scottorum Margareta" died from grief after learning of the death of her husband and oldest son[324]. The Annals of Ulster record that "his queen Margaret…died of sorrow for him within nine days" after her husband was killed in battle[325]. She was canonised in 1250, her feast day in Scotland is 16 Nov[326]. Cawley’s Medlands King Malcolm III & his second wife, Margaret, had eight children[350]: 3. EDWARD (-Edwardsisle, near Jedburgh 16 Nov 1093, bur Tynemouth St Albans). Florence of Worcester records that "rex Scottorum Malcolmus et primogenitus filius suus Eadwardus" were killed in battle in Northumbria "die S Bricii" [13 Nov] by the army of "Rotberti Northymbrorum comitis"[351]. He is named, and his parentage given, by Roger of Hoveden, who lists him first of the sons[352]. The Chronicle of John of Fordun names "Edward, Edmund, Ethelred, Edgar, Alexander and…David" as the sons of King Malcolm and his wife[353]. The Chronicle of John of Fordun records that, according to "William", "Edmund…was privy to his brother Duncan´s death, having…bargained with his uncle [Donald] for half the kingdom" but was captured and "kept in fetters for ever"[354]. He died from wounds received at the battle of Alnwick during a raid on England led by his father. The Annals of Ulster record that "Mael Coluim son of Donnchad, over-king of Scotland, and Edward his son, were killed by the French in Inber Alda in England"[355]. Matthew Paris reports that the remains of "regis Scotorum Malcolmi et Edwardi filii sui" were found at Tynemouth, commenting that both had been killed fighting "Robertus de Mumbrai"[356]. Cawley’s Medlands 4. EDMUND (-after 1097, bur [Montacute]). He is named, and his parentage given, by Roger of Hoveden, who lists him second of the sons[357]. The Chronicle of John of Fordun names "Edward, Edmund, Ethelred, Edgar, Alexander and…David" as the sons of King Malcolm and his wife, adding in a later passage that Edmund "was buried at Montacute in England"[358]. He succeeded in 1094 as EDMUND joint King of Scotland, jointly with his uncle King Donald III "Bane", ruling south of the Forth/Clyde. He was deposed in 1097 by his brother Edgar, and became a monk at Montacute Abbey. Edmund is not mentioned either by Orderic Vitalis in his brief account of the usurpation of King Donald "Bane"[359], or by Florence of Worcester in his account of the deposition of King Donald in 1097[360]. If Edmund was older than his brother Edgar, it is not clear why their uncle Edgar Ætheling, who led the English army which deposed their uncle, would have supported the accession of Edgar in place of Edmund. The Annals of Ulster record that he was involved in the killing of his half-brother King Duncan[361]. William of Malmesbury records that "Edmund was the only degenerate son of Margaret", that he "[partook] in his uncle Donald's crime and…had been accessory to his brother's death", was "doomed to perpetual imprisonment", and "on his near approach of death, ordered himself to be buried in his chains"[362]. The 12th century Cronica Regum Scottorum records that "Edmundus" was buried "apud Montem Acutum in…cella Cluniacensi"[363]. Cawley’s Medlands 5. EDGAR ([1074]-[Dundee or Edinburgh Castle] 6 Jan 1107, bur Dunfermline Abbey, Fife). He is named, and his parentage given, by Roger of Hoveden, who lists him third of the sons[364]. The Chronicle of John of Fordun names "Edward, Edmund, Ethelred, Edgar, Alexander and…David" as the sons of King Malcolm and his wife[365]. He succeeded in
- PASSED OVER FOR SUCCESSION: Although Edmund was Malcolm III's second son, he was passed over in subsequent successions as a result of betraying his siblings by siding with their uncle, Donald III.

- Father: Childebert I KING King of the Franks at Paris
- Mother: Ultrogothe QUEEN OF PARIS
- Birth: ABT 550, Kingdom of Austrasia, Frankish Empire
- LifeSketch: Gundoald or Gundovald was a Merovingian usurper king in the area of southern Gaul in either 584 or 585. He claimed to be an illegitimate son of Chlothar I and, with the financial support of the Emperor Maurice, took some major cities in southern Gaul, such as Poitiers and Toulouse, which belonged to Guntram, king of Burgundy, a legitimate son of Chlothar I. Guntram marched against him, calling him nothing more than a miller's son and named him 'Ballomer'. Gundovald fled to Comminges and Guntram's army set down to besiege the citadel (now known as Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges). The siege was successful, Gundovald's support drained away quickly and he was handed over by the besieged to be executed. The sole source for Gundovald is Gregory of Tours, who wrote about the events in his 'Histories', books 6 and 7. Gundovald was never king of Aquitaine as is sometimes thought; there was no such separate kingdom at the time. While his main backers were magnates of Austrasia, the Byzantine support consisted of treasure to buy followers and it is probable that Gundovald spent time in Constantinople before setting off to conquer parts of Gaul. The usage of 'ballomer', a Frankish (possibly offensive) word of which the meaning is not known, is one of the first instances of the mentioning of a Germanic word in a literary source. Wikipedia - Chlothar likely had an illegitimate son named Gondovald with an unnamed woman, born sometime in the late 540s or early 550s. The boy was given a literary education and allowed to grow his hair long, a symbol of belonging to royalty. Although Chlothar would offer no more aid or privilege to the boy, his mother took him to the court of Childebert, who recognized him as his nephew and agreed to keep him in court.

- LifeSketch: Foundation for Medieval Genealogy (Medlands Project) Iordanes sets out the supposed ancestors of Athal, in order, as follows "Gapt…Hulmul…Augis…Amal a quo et origo Amalorum decurrit…Hisarnis…Ostrogotha…Hunuil…Athal"[31]. Nothing is known about the Amal Goth leaders, supposed descendants of Athal, who are shown below apart from the sparse amount of information which has been extracted from Iordanes. ATHAL . Athal had two children: 1. ACHIULF . Iordanes names "Achiulf et Oduulf" as the sons of Athal[32]. Achiulf had four children: a) ANSILA . Iordanes names "Ansila et Ediulf, Vultuulf et Hermenerig" as the sons of Achiulf[33]. b) EDIULF . Iordanes names "Ansila et Ediulf, Vultuulf et Hermenerig" as the sons of Achiulf[34]. c) VULTWULF . Iordanes names "Ansila et Ediulf, Vultuulf et Hermenerig" as the sons of Achiulf[35]. Vultwulf had one child: i) VALARAVANS . Iordanes names "Valaravans" as the son of Vultwulf[36]. Valaravans had one child: (a) VINITHARIUS . Iordanes names "Vinitharius" as the son of Valaravans[37]. Vinitharius had one child: (1) VANDALARIUS . Iordanes names "Vandiliarum" as son of Vinitharius[38]. - see below. d) HERMENRICH . Iordanes names "Ansila et Ediulf, Vultuulf et Hermenerig" as the sons of Achiulf[39]. Hermenrich had one child: i) HUNIMUND . Iordanes names "Hunimundum" as son of "Hermanaricus"[40]. Hunimund had one child: (a) THORISMUND (-killed in battle [451/55]). Iordanes names "Thorismundo" as son of "Hunimundus"[41]. Iordanes records that "Thorismundo filius eius" succeeded as King of the Goths after the death of "Hunimundus filius quondam regis…Hermanarici" but was killed fighting the Gepids in the second year of his reign[42]. Thorismund had one child: (1) BERIMUD . Iordanes names "Berimud" as son of "Thorismundo"[43]. Iordanes records that "Beremud…cum filio Vitiricho" left the Ostrogoths to join "Vallia rex Gothorum" [King of the Visigoths in Toulouse][44]. The implication of a later passage in Iordanes, which records that "Valamer…ex consobrino eius genitus Vandalario" succeeded as king after "Thorismundo" was killed[45], is that Berimud's departure was triggered after he was passed over in the succession. Berimud had one child: a. VETERICUS . Iordanes names "Vetericum" as son of "Berimud"[46]. Vetericus had one child: (i) EUTHARICH (-[522/23]). Iordanes names "Eutharicum" as son of "Vetericus" and as husband of "Amalasuentham" and father of their two children[47]. Eutharic was adopted by Emperor Justin in recognition of his father-in-law's decision to designate him his successor after his marriage. He was given Roman citizenship and became first consul in 519 as FLAVIUS EUTHARICUS CILLIGA[48]. Wolfram estimates that Eutharich died in [522/23][49]. Jordanes specifies that Eutharich predeceased King Theodoric's nomination of his son Athalaric as his successor. m (515) AMALASUINTHA, daughter of THEODORIC King of the Ostrogoths in Italy & his wife Audofledis of the Franks ([493]-murdered [30 Apr] 535). The Chronicle of Cassiodorus records the marriage in 515 of "Theodericus filiam usam dominam Amalasuintam" and "gloriosi viri dn Eutharici"[50]. 2. ODWULF . Iordanes names "Achiulf et Oduulf" as the sons of Athal[51]. VANDALARIUS, son of VINITHARIUS . Iordanes names "Vandiliarum" as son of "Vinitharius" and father of "Thiudemer et Valamir et Vidimir"[52]. Relative of Thorismund[53]. 1. VALAMIR (-killed in battle [468/69]). Iordanes names "Thiudemer et Valamir et Vidimir" as the sons of Vandilarius[54]. He and his brothers followed Attila the Hun into Gaul in 451[55]. Valamir commanded the Ostrogoth contingent in Attila's army which was defeated at the battle of the Catalaunian fields[56]. He was considered king of all Ostrogoths in Pannonia. Iordanes records that "Valamer…ex consobrino eius genitus Vandalario" succeeded as king after "Thorismundo" was killed fighting the Gepids in the second year of his reign[57]. He shared the land with his two brothers, retaining for himself the eastern part of the territory covering lower Slavonia. In 456, he defeated an attack by the Huns, who are said to have retreated to the River Dnieper[58]. He defeated another Hun attack on Bassianae, near Belgrade, in 467/68, but was killed in battle during a similar attack the following year. 2. THEODEMIR [Thiudimir] (-Kyrrhos 474). Iordanes names "Thiudemer et Valamir et Vidimir" as the sons of Vandilarius[59]. King of the Ostrogoths in Pannonia, subordinate to his brother Valamir, he ruled over the western part of their domain which covered the county of Somogy and north-eastern Croatia. He succeeded his brother in [468/49] as King of all the Pannonian Ostrogoths. Iordanes names "Theodemir" when recording that he succeeded his brother "Valamero rege Gothorum" together with "Vidimero fratre et filio Theodorico"[60]. When the Ostrogoths left Pannonia in [473], Theodemir and his contingent went towards Constantinople. They settled in Macedonia, based in the city of Kyrrhos[61]. - KINGS of ITALY. 3. VIDIMIR (-473). Iordanes names "Thiudemer et Valamir et Vidimir" as the sons of Vandilarius[62]. King of the Ostrogoths in Pannonia, subordinate to his brother Valamir, he ruled over the central part of their domain which covered upper Slavonia. Iordanes names "Theodemir" when recording that he succeeded his brother "Valamero rege Gothorum" together with "Vidimero fratre et filio Theodorico"[63]. When the Ostrogoths left Pannonia in [473], Vidimir went into Italy where he suffered several defeats. a) VIDIMIR. Iordanes records that "Vidimero cum Vidimero filio" were sent to "partes Hesperias" by Theodemir[64]. After his father's death, Emperor Glycerius sent Vidimir and his contingent of Pannonian Ostrogoths to Gaul, where he settled in the Limousin[65].

- Birth: 966, Wessex, England
- Also known as: Prince Edmund of Wessex of England
- Also known as: Prince Edmund Atheling
- INFANT WITNESS: The infant Edmund, in his role as"clito legitimus" witnessed King Edgar's charter (S 745) regranting privileges to New Minster, Winchester that same year., 966, Wessex
- "CLITO LEGITIMUS": In the face of legitimacy questions regarding his previous children, King Edgar felt it necessary to make it well understood that his son Edmund born in 966 to his marriage with Ælfthryth was his legitimate ætheling and had him officially named as "clito legitimus", 966, Wessex
- Title Of Nobility: Prince of England
- LifeSketch: Edmund Atheling, or Prince Edmund of Wessex, was born in 966 to King Edgar and his wife Ælfthryth. The legitimacy of the children born into Edgar's previous relationships was questionable, therefor, King Edgar made sure little Edmund was designated "clito legitimus" his legitimate ætheling. At less than a year old, infant Edmund began his official duties as a prince and was recorded as a witness to a charter regranting privileges to New Minster, Winchester. Unforunately, Edmund Atheling, while eligible to became king some day, never lived to be more than a prince, but died about 970 at age 4 years or less.

- Burial: Glastonbury Abbey, Somerset, England

In some Bible versions this person is known as Maaseiah, but the distinct Hebrew name מעשיה is already transliterated as such, and that name is applied to a whopping twenty bearers..
