- Father: Calphurinius OF IRELAND
- Mother: Concessa OF GARTHAMADRUN
- Father: King Calpurnius of Ireland
- Mother: Concessa OF GARTHAMADRUN
- Birth: 305, Eiré, Lugo, Galicia, Spain
- Also known as: Darerca Calpurnius
- LifeSketch: Much obscurity is attached to her history, and it is not easy to disentangle the facts of her history from the network of legend which medieval writers interwove with her acts. Her fame, apart from her relationship to Ireland's national apostle, stands secure as not only a great saint but as the mother of many saints.[1] When Saint Patrick visited Bredach, as is found in the "Tripartite Life of St. Patrick," he ordained Aengus mac Ailill, the local chieftain of Moville, now a seaside resort for the citizens of Derry. While there he found "the three deacons," his sister's sons, namely, Saint Reat, Saint Nenn, and Saint Aedh, who are commemorated respectively on 3 March, 25 April, and 31 August.[1] Darerca was at least twice married. Among her husbands, according to histories in Brittany, she was the second wife of Conan Meriadoc and the mother of his eldest son, Gradlon Mawr who became Gradlon the Great, King of Brittany. Darerca's second husband, Chonas the Briton, founded the church of Both-chonais, now Binnion, Parish of Clonmany, in the barony of Inishowen, County Donegal. She had children by both husbands, some say seventeen sons, all of whom, according to Colgan, became bishops. (According to Breton history at least one became King of Brittany, rather than serve the church as a Bishop.) From the "Tripartite Life of Saint Patrick" it is evident that there were four sons of Darerca by Chonas, namely four bishops, Saint Mel of Ardagh, Saint Rioc of Inisboffin, Saint Muinis of Forgney, County Longford, and Saint Maelchu. It is well to note that another Saint Muinis, son of Gollit, is described as of Tedel in Ara-cliath. Darerca had two daughters, Saint Eiche of Kilglass and Saint Lalloc of Senlis. Her first husband was Restitutus the Lombard, after whose death she married Chonas the Briton. By Restitutus she was mother of Saint Sechnall of Dunshaughlin; Saint Nectan of Killunche, and of Fennor (near Slane); of Saint Auxilius of Killossey (near Naas, County Kildare); of Saint Diarmaid of Druim-corcortri (near Navan); of Dabonna, Mogornon, Drioc, Luguat, and Coemed Maccu Baird (the Lombard) of Cloonshaneville, near Frenchpark, County Roscommon. Four other sons are assigned her by old Irish writers, namely Saint Crummin of Lecua, Saint Miduu, Saint Carantoc, and Saint Maceaith. The latter is identical with Liamania, according to Colgan, but must not be confounded with Saint Monennia, or Darerca, whose feast is on 6 July. Saint Darerca is honoured on 22 March, and is patroness of Valentia Island. --Wikipedia

- LifeSketch: Elaine of Garlot is the daughter of Gorlois, Duke of Cornwall, and Igraine. She is a sister of Morgan le Fay and Morgause and a half-sister of King Arthur. She marries King Nentres of Garlot and has a son named Galeschin, who becomes a Knight of the Round Table, and a daughter named Elaine the Younger. Considering the actions of her sisters, she is remarkable in that she is otherwise unremarkable. It is assumed she stayed in her own lands and did little to help or hinder any of her siblings.

- Also known as: Chrodechildis, Clotilde, Clotilda
- Title Of Nobility: Queen of The Visogoths, BET 515 AND 531, Hispania
- LifeSketch: From Wikipedia - Clotilde (or Chrodechildis) (c. 500–531) was the daughter of King Clovis I of the Franks and Queen Clotilde and the queen of the Visigothic King Amalaric. She was born circa 500. The favorite child of her parents, she was saddened by her father's death in 511. Clotilde married Amalaric in about 526, and ties between both families were initially positive. Clotilde was a Catholic, while Amalaric and his fellow-Visigoths were Arians. Clotilde refused to adopt her husband's religious practices and complained to her kin that she was persecuted for her faith. Amalaric was subsequently kicked out from Narbonne. War ensued in 531 between her brother, King Childebert I, and her husband, at Barcelona, Spain. According to Isidore of Seville, Amalaric was eventually defeated, and then assassinated by his own men while Clotilde traveled to Francia with the Frankish army, but died on the journey. Her cause of death was not recorded. Childebert I brought her corpse to Paris for burial. Her death was greatly mourned by her mother and siblings.

- Birth: ABT 550, Toledo, Kingdom of the Visigoths
- LifeSketch: Gailswintha, also: Galsuintha, Galswintha, Galsuenda, Gaileswintha, Galswint (* around 550; † 567/568) was a Frankish queen of Visigoth origin. She was a daughter of the Visigoth king Athanagild and Queen Goswintha and the older sister of Brunichild. # her sister Brunichild married the Frankish king Sigibert I of Austrasia in 566. This was unusual as the Merovingian kings traditionally married a subordinate noblewoman. Due to the strong rivalry between the brothers King Sigibert I and King Chilperich I of Neustria, the latter also turned to Athangild and wooed Gailswintha. Athanagild agreed and sent his daughter to Neustria, but on the condition that she would become Chilperich's only wife. In the 6th century it was still common for the kings of the Franconian sub-kingdoms to have relationships with peace women and concubines. Chilperich then separated from his wife and married Gailswintha in 567. As a morning gift, she received the cities of Bordeaux, Cahors, Limoges, Béarn and Bigorre from her husband. Gregory of Tours reported that Chilperich respected Gailswintha for her large dowry. ("... she was worshiped by him with great love. She had brought great treasures with her.") [1] However, Galswintha felt that her husband was treating her unworthily and complained that he was not doing her the honor it deserved. In particular, Chilperich was not ready to part with his long-time concubine Fredegunde, who was originally the maid of his former wife. Galswintha saw Chilperich's adherence to Fredegunde as a violation of his promise to monogamy when he got married, mainly because she only converted to Catholicism shortly before the wedding and the exclusivity of marriage was a special priority for her. Soon after the wedding, Fredegunde is said to have initiated the murder of Galswintha. Chilperich's role in this act is unclear, but he elevated Fredegunde to the rank of his wife. After Galswintha's death, the morning gift went to her sister Brunichild. As a result of these events, a lifelong enmity arose between Fredegunde and Brunichild, which intensified the political opposition between Chilperich and Sigibert and contributed significantly to the outbreak of the Merovingian fratricidal war, which ushered in the decline of the Merovingian dynasty.

- Father: Vladimir I Svyatoshlavich RURIKID
- Mother: Malfriede OF BOHEMIA
- Birth: ABT 986, Rostov Oblast, Russia
- LifeSketch: Found at Wikja.org" Boris Vladimirovich of Rostov (986-1015) Saint Boris, icon of 1301-1325 Birth: 986 Death: 24 July 1015 Father: Vladimir I Svyatoslavich of Kiev (c958-1015) Mother: Adela (bef986-) Skills: Prince of Rostov Sex: Male Icon Boris Vladimirovich of Rostov was born 986 to Vladimir I Svyatoslavich of Kiev (c958-1015) and Adela (bef986-) and died 24 July 1015 of unspecified causes. Ancestors are from Russia, Ukraine. Boris Vladimirovich (circa 986 - 24 July 1015, baptised Roman, Prince of Rostov (circa 1010 - 1015), was the son of Prince Vladimir the Great and of a Bulgarian wife, possibly named Adela[1][2] Some historians consider that he was the son of Anna Porphyrogenita[3][4] or an unknown "Bulgarian" Life According to the initial Kiev chronicle, he was born from the Bulgarian and under the second division of the lands he was given to Rostov, which his eldest brother Yaroslav had owned before . Earlier, as seen from the additions to some lists of chronicles that were in the hands of VN Tatischev, Boris was given to Moore. The second section occurred around 994 - 996 years. From this time until 1015 in the annals of Boris there are no references.[5] Murder In 1015 his father Vladimir the Great fell ill , and Boris was called to Kiev. Soon after his arrival, it became known about the invasion of the Pechenegs, and his father sent him and his team to repel them. Boris never met the Pechenegs and, returning back, stopped at the river Alta. Here he learned about his father's death and about the occupation of the grand duke's table by his half-brother Svyatopolk. The brigade has offered to go to Kiev and to seize the throne, but Boris did not want to violate the sanctity of tribal relations and indignantly rejected the proposal, so that his father had left him vigilantes and he stayed with her some of boys [5]. Meanwhile Svyatopolk, who, informing Boris of his father's death, offered to be with him in love and increase his destiny, sent Putsha and the boyars of Vyshgorod for the murder of his brother: sympathy for Boris of the people and the squad made him a dangerous rival. Putsha and his comrades came to Alta, to the tent of Boris, on the night of July 24 (30) ; hearing the singing of the psalms, coming from the tent, Putsha decided to wait for Boris's departure for bed. As soon as the last, doubly sad and death of his father and rumors about his brother's villainous intentions, ended his prayer and lay down, as the murderers broke in and pierced Boris and his Hungarian servant George, who tried to protect the master with his own body. The murderers who were still breathing Boris were turned into the tent and were taken. Svyatopolk, having learned that he was still alive, sent two Varangians to finish him off, which they did, piercing him with a sword in his heart. Boris's body was secretly brought to Vyshgorod and buried there in the church of Sts. Basil. Boris was about 25 years old [5]. Veneration Boris and his brother Gleb received the crown of martyrdom in 1015. The brothers became known as "Strastoterptsy" (Passion-Bearers), since they did not resist evil with violence.[6]Boris and Gleb's relics were housed in the Church of St. Basil in Vyshhorod, later destroyed.[7] Boris and Gleb were canonized by the Orthodox church in Rus' in 1071. Their feast day is observed in the Julian calendar on July 24 (August 6) They were interred at the Vyshhorod Cathedral, which was reconsecrated in their name; many other Ukrainian and Russian churches, such as the cathedrals of Vladimir, Rostov-Yaroslavl, Ryazan, Tula were later named after them. Boris is included in the list of saints of the Roman Catholic Church unde the name Roman the Russian [8] . Discussion on the validity of the generally accepted version B09 Death of Boris The murder of Boris. Painting by Fyodor Antonovich Bruni. In 1834, Professor of St. Petersburg University Senkovsky, translating into Russian the " Saga of Eymund " [9], finds there that the Varangian Eimund, along with his team was hired by Yaroslav the Wise. In the saga it is told how the king Yarisleif (Yaroslav) fights with the king Burisleifom, and in the saga of Burisleif the lives of the Varangians are taken by the order of Yarisleif. According to some researchers, the name of "Burisliseif" refers to Boris, while others considers that it means the Polish king Bolesław I the Brave, whom the saga confuses with his ally Svyatopolk. Then some researchers [10][11]on the basis of the saga about Eimund supported the hypothesis that Boris's death was "the work of the hands" of the Vikings, sent by Yaroslav in 1017, given that, according to the chronicles, Yaroslav, Bryachislav and Mstislav refused recognize Svyatopolk as the rightful prince in Kiev. Only two brothers, Boris and Gleb, declared their loyalty to the new prince of Kiev and pledged to "honor him as their father," and it would be very strange for Svyatopolk to kill his allies. Until now, this hypothesis has both its supporters and opponents. Also historians and historians, beginning with SM Solovyov, suggest that the tale of the death of Boris and Gleb is clearly inserted in the "Tale of Bygone Years" later, otherwise the chronicler would not repeat again about the beginning of the reign of Svyatopolk in Kiev. Other The annals of 1175 mention the sword of Boris, which at that time belonged to Andrei of Bogolyubovo [5]. In 2011, during the study of the remnants of the medieval cemetery near the village of Shekshovo , a heavily corrupted battle ax with traces of silver inlay was found. When restoring on it, for the first time for such finds, signs of Rurikovich were discovered [12]. After a detailed study of the find, it was suggested that the ax belonged to a follower of Boris[13].

He was a younger son of Vladimir the Great, Grand Prince of Kiev. His father appointed him to rule Tmutarakan, an important fortress by the Strait of Kerch, in or after 988. He invaded the core territories of Kievan Rus', which were ruled by his brother, Yaroslav the Wise, in 1024. Although Mstislav could not take Kiev, he forced the East Slavic tribes dwelling to the east of the Dniester River to accept his suzerainty. Yaroslav the Wise also accepted the division of Kievan Rus' along the river after Mstislav had defeated him in a battle fought at Listven by Chernigov, Ukraine. Mstislav transferred his seat to the latter town, and became the first ruler of the principality emerging around it. Early years Mstislav was one of the many sons of Vladimir the Great, Grand Prince of Kiev.[1] His exact position in Vladimir's family is disputed, because Vladimir, who had seven wives and many concubines before his conversion,[2] fathered two sons called Mstislav, according to the Russian Primary Chronicle.[3] One of them was born to Rogneda of Polotsk, who had been forced to be the first wife of Vladimir in the late 970s.[2][4] The second Mstislav was born to a Czech woman.[3] Historians debate whether the future prince of Tmutarakan and Chernihiv was the son of Rogneda or Vladimir's Czech wife: the first option is preferred by George Vernadsky, the second by Janet Martin.[1][3] Prince of Tmutarakan Vladimir the Great administered large portions of Kievan Rus' through his sons by placing them in towns in the borderlands.[1][5] The Russian Primary Chronicle narrates, under the year 988, that Mstislav became the prince of Tmutarakan after the death of one of his brothers, Vysheslav of Novgorod.[6] Vernadsky writes that Mstislav, as ruler of Tmutarakan, assumed the title of khagan.[7] Tmutarakan was an important town controlling the Strait of Kerch between the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.[8][9] It was separated from other parts of the Kievan Rus' by the steppes.[9] Under Mstislav, who was the first known prince of Tmutarakan, the town developed into an important emporium for traders from the Kievan Rus' and the Byzantine Empire.[10] Vladimir the Great died in 1014 while preparing a campaign against his rebellious son, Izyaslav.[1] Mstislav remained neutral during the civil war which followed his father's death and ended with the victory of his brother, Yaroslav the Wise in 1019.[11] The Byzantine chronicler John Skylitzes writes of one "Sphengos, the brother of Vladimir"[12] who assisted the imperial fleet in attacking "Khazaria" in 1016.[13] According to the historians Simon Franklin and Jonathan Shepard, this Sphengos – whose name seems to be the Greek variant of the Varangian Svein or Sveinki names – could well have been identical with Mstislav.[14] In 1022, Mstislav killed Rededia, the prince of the Circassian tribe of the Kassogians in a duel after violating the agreed upon rules in the duel. Rededia proposed a physical duel without the use of arms in order to spare the possibility of more war and death for the Kassogians who were already in a semi-permanent state of war. Mstislav agreed and the duel began, Rededia immediately asserted his dominance and defeated Mstislav. Caught unaware, Mstislav unsheathed a concealed dagger and betrayed Rededia and the honour of the duel by stabbing him. Rededia later, in his dying breaths, insisted that his comrades do not hold a blood vendetta to avoid further grueling wars for the Kassogians who had already fought the Mongols previous to Mstislav's campaign. Rededia's legacy was immortalized by his fellow Kassogian bards and his name continues to live even in modern Circassian minstrels, poems and folk songs. [15] According to the Russian Primary Chronicle, he seized Rededia's "wife and children" and "imposed tribute upon the Kasogians"[16] after his victory.[17] Many Kassogians joined Mstislav's druzhina or retinue.[18] He had a church, dedicated to the Holy Virgin, built in his seat in fulfillment of the oath he had taken before the duel.[19] Prince of Chernigov File:Yaroslav reconstruction edit.jpg In 1024, while Yaroslav the Wise was away from Kiev, Mstislav led his army, which included Kassogian and Khazar troops, against Kiev.[15][9] Although he could not enter the capital of Rus' because of the locals' opposition, he forced the Severians – an East Slavic tribe dwelling along the Desna River to the east of Kiev – to accept his suzerainty.[20][9] He transferred his seat from Tmutarakan to Chernihiv, which was the second largest town in Kievan Rus'.[21] For no source mentions a local prince ruling in Chernigov before this event, historians regard Mstislav as the first ruler of the Principality of Chernigov.[22] He had the citadel expanded and the defensive works surrounding the suburb reinforced in his new seat.[23] Duumvirate Yaroslav the Wise, who mustered Varangian troops in Novgorod, invaded Mstislav's domain in 1024.[15][22] In the decisive battle, which was fought at Listven near Chernihiv, Mstislav emerged the victor.[15][22] Yaroslav the Wise surrendered all the territories to the east of the Dnieper River to Mstislav.[22][24] After this distribution of the lands of Kievan Rus' Mstislav ruled in his principality autonomously.[25] He ordered the erection of a stone and masonry cathedral, dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Holy Savior, in his capital in 1030 or 1031.[26] Mstislav forced the Alans who dwelled along the lower course of the river Don to accept his suzerainty in 1029.[7] He closely cooperated with his brother in the last years of his life.[15] Yaroslav and Mstislav jointly invaded Poland and occupied the Cherven towns in 1031.[27] The Russian Primary Chronicle narrates that they "also captured many Poles and distributed them as colonists in various districts."[28][7] Mstislav's only known son, Evstaphii died in 1033.[29] According to the Russian Primary Chronicle, Mstislav "fell sick and died"[30] on a hunting expedition between 1034 and 1036.[31] He was buried in the Holy Savior Cathedral which had been by that time "built to a point higher than a man on horseback could reach with his hand".[30] For Mstislav died having no sons /he had at least one daughter though/, his principality was united with his brother's realm.[22]

- LifeSketch: Maria Dobroniega of Kiev (b. aft. 1012 – d. 1087), was a Kievian Rus princess of the Rurikid dynasty and by marriage Duchess of Poland. She was one of the younger children of Vladimir I, Grand Prince of Kiev. The identity of her mother is disputed among historians and web sources. Grand Prince Vladimir I had married seven times and had fathered many children, legitimate and illegitimate. Anna Porphyrogeneta, his sixth wife, is known to have predeceased Vladimir by four years. Chronicle Thietmar of Merseburg, writing from contemporary accounts, mentions that Boleslaw I of Poland captured Vladimir I's widow during his raid on Kiev in 1018. The historians long had no clue as to identity of this wife. The emigre historian Nicholas Baumgarten, however, pointed to the controversial record of the "Genealogia Welforum" and the "Historia Welforum Weingartensis" that one daughter of Count Kuno von Oenningen (future Duke Konrad I of Swabia) by "filia Ottonis Magni imperatoris" (Otto the Great's daughter; possibly Rechlinda Otona [Regelindis], claimed by some as illegitimate daughter and by others legitimate, born from his first marriage with Edith of England) married "rex Rugorum" (King of Rus). He interpreted this evidence as pertaining to Vladimir I's last wife. This woman is a possible identity for Maria's mother. Marriage[edit] Maria married around 1040 to Casimir I the Restorer, Duke of Poland. This marriage helped Casimir to gain support in his reclaim over the Polish throne. Casimir had attempted to seize the throne twice before, both times he failed. With the support of Maria's brother, Yaroslav I the Wise, Casimir was able to make a successful claim. The couple had five children: Bolesław II the Bold (b. c. 1043 – d. 2/3 April 1081/82). Władysław I Herman (b. c. 1044 – d. 4 June 1102) Mieszko (b. 16 April 1045 – d. 28 January 1065). Otto (b. c. 1046 – d. 1048). Świętosława (b. c. 1048 – d. 1 September 1126), married c. 1062 to Duke (and since 1085 King) Vratislaus II of Bohemia. Maria's husband died on 28 November 1058. Her sixteen-year-old son, Bolesław, became King of Poland. Bolesław II is considered one of the most capable of the Piast rulers. However, he was deposed & expelled from the country in 1079. Bolesław II died two years later, in 1081. Maria survived her son by six years, dying in 1087, aged seventy-six or seventy-seven.
