Hugues I de Châteaudun, Viscount of Châteaudun and Archbishop of Tours 2.) Adalaud, Seigneur de Château-Chinon 3.) - LifeSketch: Married William X of Aquataine. Daughter of Dangerouse, by her first husband, Aimeri de Chatterault. Dangerouse would later become the mistress to Aenor (Eleanor's) father-in-law, William IX, the Troubadour. Aénor of Châtellerault (also known as Aénor de Rochefoucauld) Duchess of Aquitaine (born c. 1103 in Châtellerault, died March 1130 in Talmont) was the mother of Eleanor of Aquitaine, who became one of the most powerful women in Europe of her generation. Aenor was a daughter of Viscount Aimery I, Viscount of Châtellerault and his wife, Dangereuse de L' Isle Bouchard (d. 1151). Her mother was willingly "abducted" by her future father-in-law, William IX of Aquitaine and became his mistress until his death in 1127. Aenor married William X of Aquitaine,[1] the son of her mother's lover, in 1121 and had three children with him: Eleanor of Aquitaine, Duchess of Aquitaine, and wife of both Louis VII of France, and Henry II of England.[1] Petronilla of Aquitaine, wife of Raoul I, Count of Vermandois. - Also known as: Amauberge "Dangereuse" de L'Isle Bouchard
- LifeSketch: She was the maternal grandmother of the celebrated Eleanor of Aquitaine. She was also mistress to her granddaughters' paternal grandfather, William IX, Duke of Aquitaine. Dangereuse was a woman who did as she pleased and cared little for the opinion of her peers. -- from Wikiwand: Dangereuse de l'Isle Bouchard Dangereuse de L'Isle Bouchard (died 1151) was a daughter of Barthelemy de L'Isle Bouchard and his wife Gerberge de Blaison. She was the maternal grandmother of the celebrated Eleanor of Aquitaine. She was also mistress to her granddaughters' paternal grandfather William IX, Duke of Aquitaine. Dangereuse is also known as La Maubergeonne. Dangereuse's paternal grandparents were Archimbaud Borel de Bueil and Agnes de L'Isle Bouchard. Her maternal grandparents were Eon de Blaison and Tcheletis de Trèves. Through her granddaughter, Dangereuse was an ancestor of various nobles and monarchs including: Richard I of England, Marie, Countess of Champagne, John of England, Geoffrey, Duke of Brittany, Joan, Queen of Sicily, Eleanor, Queen of Castile, Matilda, Duchess of Saxony and Henry the Young King. Her granddaughter Eleanor was Queen consort of France, Queen consort of England and Duchess of Aquitaine (in her own right). Dangereuse married Viscount Aimery I of Châtellerault at an unknown date. She advised her husband to donate property to Saint-Denis en Vaux in a charter dated 1109, which means they were married before this point. Dangereuse was a woman who did as she pleased and cared little for public opinion. Their marriage produced five children (two sons and three daughters): Hugh (died before 1176) succeeded his father as Viscount Raoul (died 1190) married Elisabeth de Faye and had issue Aenor/Eleanor (c. 1103 – March 1130) married William X, Duke of Aquitaine, mother to Duchess Eleanor and Petronilla Amable, married Wulgrin II, Count of Angoulême Aois (fate unknown) Dangereuse and Aimery were married for around seven years before she left her husband to become the mistress to Duke William IX; this became an infamous liaison. Whilst travelling through Poitou, Duke William met the "seductive" Dangereuse. This led to her leaving her husband for Duke William IX of Aquitaine, who was excommunicated by the church for "abducting her"; however, she appeared to have been a willing party in the matter. He installed her in the Maubergeonne tower of his castle in Poitiers (leading to her nickname La Maubergeonne), and, as related by William of Malmesbury, even painted a picture of her on his shield. Upon returning to Poitiers from Toulouse, his wife Philippa of Toulouse was enraged to discover a rival woman living in her palace. She appealed to her friends at court and to the Church; however, no noble could assist her since William was their feudal overlord, and whilst the Papal legate Giraud complained to William and told him to return Dangereuse to her husband, William's only response to the bald legate was, "Curls will grow on your pate before I part with the Viscountess." Humiliated, Philippa chose in 1116 to retire to the Abbey of Fontevrault, where she was befriended, ironically, by Ermengarde of Anjou, William's first wife. Dangereuse and William had three children: Henri (died after 1132), a monk and later Prior of Cluny Adelaide, married Raoul de Faye Sybille, Abbess of Saintes Philippa died two years later and William's first wife Ermengarde set out to avenge Philippa. In October 1119, she suddenly appeared at the Council of Reims being held by Pope Calixtus II and demanded that the Pope excommunicate William (again), oust Dangereuse from the ducal palace, and restore herself to her rightful place as Duchess consort. The Pope "declined to accommodate her"; however, she continued to trouble William for several years afterwards. William died on 10 February 1126; nothing is recorded of Dangereuse after this point. Dangereuse died in 1151.

- LifeSketch: Wikiwand- Peter, also Peter II of Courtenay (French: "Pierre de Courtenay"; died 1219), was emperor of the Latin Empire of Constantinople from 1216 to 1217. Peter II was a son of Peter I of Courtenay (died 1183), the youngest son of Louis VI of France and his second wife, Adélaide de Maurienne. His mother was Elisabeth de Courtenay, daughter of Renaud de Courtenay (died 1194) and Hawise du Donjon. Peter first married Agnes I, via whom he obtained the three counties of Nevers, Auxerre, and Tonnerre. He took for his second wife Yolanda of Flanders (died 1219), a sister of Baldwin and Henry of Flanders, who were afterwards the first and second emperors of the Latin Empire of Constantinople. Peter accompanied his cousin, King Philip Augustus, on the crusade of 1190 and fought (alongside his brother Robert) in the Albigensian Crusade in 1209 and 1211, when he took part in the siege of Lavaur. He was present at the Battle of Bouvines in 1214. When his brother-in-law, the emperor Henry, died without sons in 1216, Peter was chosen as his successor, and with a small army he left his residence of château de Druyes in France to take possession of his throne. He was consecrated emperor at the Basilica of Saint Lawrence outside the Walls in Rome by Pope Honorius III on 9 April 1217. He then borrowed some ships from the Venetians, promising in return to conquer Durazzo for them, but he failed in this enterprise, and sought to make his way to Constantinople by land. On the journey he was seized by the despot of Epirus, Theodore Komnenos Doukas, and, after an imprisonment of two years, died, probably by foul means. Peter thus never governed his empire, which, however, was ruled for a time by his wife, Yolanda, who had succeeded in reaching Constantinople. Two of his sons, Robert and Baldwin, reigned in turn as emperors of the Latin Empire of Constantinople. By his first wife Agnes I, Countess of Nevers, he had: . Matilda I, Countess of Nevers By his second wife Yolanda of Flanders, he had: . Philip (died 1226), Marquis of Namur, who declined the offer of the crown of the Latin Empire . Robert of Courtenay (died 1228), emperor of the Latin Empire of Constantinople . Henry (died 1229), Marquis of Namur . Baldwin II of Constantinople (died 1273), emperor of the Latin Empire of Constantinople . Margaret (died 1270), Marchioness of Namur, who first married Raoul, Lord of Issoudun, and then Henry I, Count of Vianden . Elizabeth of Courtenay who married Walter count of Bar and then Eudes sire of Montagu . Yolanda de Courtenay, who married Andrew II of Hungary . Eleanor, who married Philip of Montfort, Lord of Tyre . Marie de Courtenay, who married Theodore I Lascaris of the Empire of Nicaea . Agnes, who married Geoffrey II Villehardouin, Prince of Achaea He had an illegitimate son: . Geoffrey, marquis of Lavaur (died 1229). The "Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines" names "the committee Petrum Autissiodorensem and Robertum de Cortenaio and quondam Guillemum" son of "Petro de Cortenaio regis Philippi patruo" & his wife. "Petrus regis frater and Curtiniacensis dominus" confirmed donations to the abbey of Fontaine-Jean, with the consent of "uxor mea Ysabel and primogenitus meus Petrus", by a charter dated 1170, attested by "Ex parte domini et pueri ... ,” indicating that Peter [II] was still a child at the time. Bouchet says that "sur can say with something of great certainty [that Pierre] was only at most twelve years old, since ordinarily sur does not use the term puer to express a youth beyond that age." He succeeded his father as Lord of Courtenay. A charter dated "die festivo de Ramis palmarum" [April 10] 1183 records that "Petrus de Curtiniaco regis Galliæ Philippi patruus" during his lifetime donated "villam ... Heruauuilla" to Notre-Dame la Royalle de Rosoy with the consent of "Elisabeth uxor eius and Petrus eorundem maior filius et alii ... Robertus, Philippus, Willelmus." He succeeded the Count of Nevers, Count of Auxerre in 1184, by the right of his first wife. He accompanied King Philip II of France on the Third Crusade in 1190, returning to France in 1193. After his defeat by Hervé de Donzy, following their dispute over the castle of Gien, Pierre de Courtenay was confirmed Count of Auxerre, count of Tonnerre for life in 1199 but is forced to cede the county of Nevers, as well as the hand of his daughter in marriage, to Hervé. Count Pierre took part in the crusade against the Albigensians in 1210 and was present at the siege of Toulouse. He fought at the Battle of Bouvines in 1214. He succeeded as Marquis of Namur in 1213, by right of his second wife. He was elected in 1216 to succeed his brother-in-law Henry of Flanders as Emperor PIERRE I of Constantinople. Leaving France, he went to Rome where he was crowned on April 9, 1217, by Pope Honorius III at the church of San Lorenzo fuori i Muri. He sent his wife and daughters directly to Constantinople, but the Venetians persuaded Emperor Peter to help get Durazzo back on his way. After succeeding in this endeavor, he was captured in the Albanian mountains by Theodoros Angelos, Lord of Epirus, and disappeared, presumably assassinated although his fate was not known until [early 1221]. The "Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines" reports that "Namucensis comes Petrus" was captured by "Duke Durachis Theodoro" in 1217.
