- Father: Polemon I Pythodoros of PONTUS
- Mother: Pythodorida spouse of Polemon I Pythodoros of PONTUS
- Birth: 10 BC
- Title Of Nobility: King of Lesser Armenia, BET 38 AND 47, Lesser Armenia, Roman Empire
- LifeSketch: Wikipedia Antonia Tryphaena also known as Tryphaena of Thrace or Tryphaena (her name in Greek: η Άντωνία Τρύφαινα or Τρυφαίνη, 10 BC – 55 AD) was a Pontus Princess and a Roman Client Queen of Thrace. Origins, family and early life Tryphaena was the only known daughter and the youngest child of Roman client rulers Polemon Pythodoros and Pythodorida of Pontus. Her elder brothers were Zenon, also known as Artaxias III, who became Roman client king of Armenia and Polemon II of Pontus, who would succeed her mother and became the last Roman client ruler of Pontus. She was of Anatolian Greek and Roman heritage. Her paternal grandfather was Zenon, a prominent orator and aristocrat, who had been an ally to Mark Antony. Her maternal grandparents were the wealthy Greek friends of the late Roman Triumvir Pompey Pythodoros of Tralles, and Antonia. Through her maternal grandmother she was a direct descendant of Mark Antony and his second wife Antonia Hybrida Minor. Antony and Antonia were first paternal cousins. Her name reflects her descent from the triumvir. She was Antony's third great grandchild and his first great granddaughter. The only other female descendant of Antony's, who bears the name ‘Antonia’, is Claudia Antonia, a Roman princess and the first daughter of Roman Emperor Claudius. Her second name Tryphaena is a name of ancient Greek origin and this name was associated with the Greek Queens and Princesses of the Ptolemaic dynasty of Ancient Egypt. Tryphaena wasn't a blood relative of the Ptolemaic dynasty.[a] Through Antony, her great maternal aunt was Roman Client Queen Cleopatra Selene II of Mauretania, through her she was a cousin to Roman client king Ptolemy of Mauretania and the princesses Drusilla of Mauretania the Elder and Drusilla of Mauretania the Younger. Through Antony she was also a distant cousin to Roman Emperors Caligula, Claudius and Nero and Roman Empresses Messalina, Agrippina the Younger and Claudia Octavia. Tryphaena's father died in 8 BC. Her mother married Roman Client King Archelaus of Cappadocia. Her family moved to Cappadocia and along with her brothers were raised in the court of their stepfather. Archelaus died in 17. After his death, her mother and Polemon II moved back to Pontus. Queen of Thrace Before 12 AD, Tryphaena married Thracian Prince Cotys VIII. Cotys was the son and heir of the Roman client rulers of Thrace, Rhoemetalces I and Pythodoris I. In 12 AD Rhoemetalces I died, at which point Tryphaena became queen of Thrace. Only two ancient sources make reference to her: the historian Tacitus and Strabo the Geographer. Tacitus refers to her as Cotys’ widow and Strabo refers to her as the unnamed daughter of Polemon Pythodoros and the wife of Cotys. The Greek geographer Strabo was a friend to her mother. We also know of Tryphaena from numismatic evidence, inscriptions and buildings she ordered to be commissioned. On surviving coinage, her royal title is ΒΑΣΙΛΙΣΣΗΣ ΤΡΥΦΑΙΝΗΣ or of Queen Tryphaena. In the ancient Greek city of Cyzicus (now in modern Turkey) which became second her residence, Tryphaena and her children have left a number of inscriptions in Cyzicus. Some of these inscriptions mention her and reveal her descent, for example: Άντωνία Τρύφαινα Βασιλέως Πολέμωνος καί Βα[σιλίσ]σης Πυθοδωρίδος Θυγάτηρ Antonia Tryphaena, daughter of King Polemon and of Queen Pythodoris After the death of Augustus in 14 AD, Tryphaena ordered and commissioned at her expense the restoration of Cyzicus. The city's restoration included works completed on its harbours and canals. She did this as an offering to the memory of Augustus. Sometime after the Cyzicus’ restorations were completed, Rhescuporis II wanted to claim Cotys’ section of the Thracian Kingdom for himself to rule as one kingdom. Cotys refused to give in the demands of his uncle. The political disagreement between Rhescuporis and Cotys led Cotys to be captured and killed by his paternal uncle. After the murder of Cotys in 18 AD, Tryphaena fled with her family to Cyzicus. Later in 18 AD Roman Emperor Tiberius opened a murder investigation into Cotys’ death. Tiberius put Rhescuporis II on trial in the Roman Senate and invited Tryphaena to attend the trial. During the trial Tryphaena accused Rhescuporis II of killing her husband and forcing him to exile himself from his own kingdom. Tiberius found Rhescuporis II guilty and sent him to live in exile in Alexandria, Egypt. On his way to Egypt, Rhescuporis II tried to escape and was killed by Roman soldiers. Tiberius returned the whole Thracian Kingdom to Tryphaena, and appointed Tryphaena and Cotys’ first child Rhoemetalces II to rule with his mother. The son of Rhescuporis II, Rhoemetalces III, was spared by Tiberius and allowed him to return to Thrace. Tryphaena bore Cotys four known children: A son, Rhoemetalces II, he was named after his paternal grandfather and ruled with Tryphaena from when his father died in 18 until his death in 38. A daughter, Gepaepyris, she married the Roman Client King Tiberius Julius Aspurgus of the Bosporan Kingdom. A son, Cotys IX, he was the namesake of his father. He became Roman Client King of Lesser Armenia from 38 until at least 47. A daughter, Pythodoris II or Pythodorida II. She was named after her maternal grandparents and her paternal grandmother. In 38, after the death of Rhoemetalces II, Tryphaena abdicated the throne at the request of Roman Emperor Caligula. Pythodoris II married her second paternal cousin Rhoemetalces III and they ruled Thrace as Roman Client Rulers from 38 until 46. While Tryphaena's children were growing up they were part of the remarkable court of Antonia Minor in Rome. Antonia Minor was another great maternal aunt of Tryphaena's. Antonia Minor was a very influential woman and supervised her circle of various princes and princesses. Her circle assisted in the political preservation of the Roman Empire's borders and affairs of the client states. Tryphaena was appointed by Caligula in 38 AD to serve as a priestess in the cult of Julia Drusilla. In 42 AD, she was appointed by Claudius to serve as a priestess in the cult of late Roman Empress Livia Drusilla. From 38 until her death, Tryphaena lived as a private citizen in Cyzicus. In Caligula's reign, she became the benefactor of Cyzicus and enjoyed Caligula's patronage. Tryphaena was a prominent citizen in Cyzicus. Tryphaena was heavy influenced by Livia's lifestyle. Tryphaena's behavior provided an example to elite women in Anatolia, which was later appreciated by other women in that region. Association with Judaism and Christianity Tryphaena's brother Polemon II married the Judean Princess Julia Berenice and through their marriage Polemon converted to Judaism and probably later became a Christian. Through the preachings of Paul the Apostle, Tryphaena may have converted to Christianity. In Christian literature, the Acts of Paul and Thecla set a Queen Tryphaena, a relative of the emperor, in the city of Antioch of Pisidia; the Epistle to the Romans (16:12) mentions a person named Tryphena, sends his greeting and adds ’who works in the Lord’s service’. A later martyrology connects her with Iconium. The two characters are likely based on Antonia Tryphaena. Tryphaena of Cyzicus is the patron saint of Cyzicus and she was named in honour of Tryphaena.

- Father: Titus Flavius Claudius SULPICIANUS
- Mother: Flavia Titiana FLAVIUS
- Birth: ABT 160
- LifeSketch: From Wikipedia- Flavia Titiana was a Roman empress, wife of emperor Pertinax, who ruled briefly in 193 (known as "Year of the Five Emperors"). Life Flavia Titiana was the daughter of a Senator, Titus Flavius Claudius Sulpicianus, and sister of Titus Flavius Titianus (b. ca 165), Consul suffectus ca 200 who married Postumia Varia (b. ca 175). Her paternal grandfather was Titus Flavius Titianus (b. ca 95), who was Praefectus of Aegyptus between 126 and 133 and was believed to be a third son of Titus Flavius Clemens and wife Flavia Domitilla. She married Publius Helvius Pertinax, a rich self-made man who had a successful military and civil career. She bore two children, a boy called Publius Helvius Pertinax and an unknown daughter. Pertinax was proclaimed emperor after the murder of Commodus on January 1, 193. While the new princeps was offering the customary sacrifice on the Capitoline Hill, the Roman Senate gave Flavia Titiana the honorary title of Augusta. After the murder of Pertinax by the Praetorian Guard on March 28, neither Flavia nor her children were hurt. The highly unreliable Historia Augusta claims that Flavia Titiana "carried on an amour quite openly with a man who sang to the lyre", but Pertinax was not concerned.[1]

His name (skoglar, skauglar or skagul) was reportedly due to his experience in battle. "Toste is mentioned in several sagas, most notable in Heimskringla. According to Snorri Sturluson, he was the father of Sigrid the Haughty. For some time he gave refuge to Harald Grenske, who later came back to woo Sigrid, only to be killed by her for his persistence. According to the sagas, Skagul Toste was also the father of Ulf Tostesson, father of Ragnvald Ulfsson and grandfather of Stenkil who became the King of Sweden in 1060. - LifeSketch: Foundation for Medieval Genealogy m firstly (968 or before) LEDGARDE, daughter of --- ([950/53]-after 16 Apr 980). “Borrellus comes et marchio” donated property to the monastery of San Saturnino de Urgell, for the souls of "…uxoris meæ Letgarda vel prolis meæ, que de me et illa procreata est, et…fratris mei Mironis comitis atque marchionis", by charter dated 6 Jun 964[232]. Her birth date is estimated on the assumption that she was 15 years old or younger at the time of her marriage in 967, but old enough to have given birth to her first child before the date of this charter. Bofarull records a suggestion by Marca that Ledgarde was the daughter of "Ramon Pons y Garsinda condes de Auvernia"[233]. It is chronological impossible for Ledgarde to have been the daughter of Raymond Pons Comte de Toulouse et d´Auvergne whose children must have been born in the range [920/30]. If Ledgarde did belong to the Toulouse family, she must have been Ledgarde, daughter of Raymond III Comte de Toulouse & his wife [Gundinildis ---], whose children would have been born in the range [940/60]. “Borrellus...comes et marchio et coniux nostra Ledgardis comitissa” sold “ecclesia de sancti Stephani...in puig de Granolers” to “Assolf” by charter dated 25 Jun 972 “in anno primo quo natus est filius eius Raimundus”[234]. “Borrellus comes et marchio seu Guiffredus consanguineus meus” donated “in loco...castrum Lordano vel in civitate Ysauna...ecclesias” to the church of Urgell by charter dated 30 Jul 973[235]. "Borrellus…comes et marchio cum coniuge Leudgardis chomitissa" sold the castle of Queralt to "Witardo vicecomite" by charter dated 15 Jul 976[236]. "Borrellus…chomes et marchio" sold property to "Unicfredo que vocant Amado" by charter dated 11 Jun 977, subscribed by "Ledgardis comitissa, Ansulfo, Vuitardus vicescomes…"[237]. "Borrellus comes et marchio et uxori mee Ledegards" donated property "in comitatu Ausona" to Vic by charter dated 16 Apr 980[238].

- Father: Marcus Antonius III
- Mother: Antoina HYBRIDA MINOR
- Birth: ABT 50 BC, Roma, Roman Republic
- LifeSketch: Wikipedia - Antonia Born 50s BC Rome, Roman Republic Died Smyrna Other names Antonia Prima Spouse(s) Pythodoros of Tralles Children Pythodorida of Pontus Parents Mark Antony (father) Antonia Hybrida Minor (mother) Antonia (ca 50s BC – ?) was a Roman noblewoman who married the Greek nobleman Pythodoros of Tralles. She has been identified as the daughter of the general Mark Antony, presumably by his second wife Antonia Hybrida Minor. Theodor Mommsen was the first historian to identify Pythodoros wife as the same woman as the daughter of Antony who was engaged to a son of the triumvir Lepidus. Mommsen's view has found wide acceptance but is not without its detractors.[1] Biography Early life Her parents were paternal first cousins. Antonia was the eldest known recorded child of Antony and some modern historians consider her to be the first child born to Antony. She was born and raised in Rome. By 47 BC, Antonia's parents had divorced because Antony believed Hybrida had slept with his friend, the tribune Publius Cornelius Dolabella. Within a year her father had married again to Fulvia, and would have two sons named Antyllus and Iullus by her. First engagement Antonia's father had arranged for her to be betrothed in 44 BC, to a son of his fellow triumvir Marcus Aemilius Lepidus, whom Antony had secured the position as Pontifex maximus for that same year.[2] Her fiancé is often assumed to have been Lepidus oldest son Marcus Aemilius Lepidus Minor, but a younger son is also possible.[3][a] It is unknown if Antonia would have been in the custody of her stepmother Fulvia or if she would have accompanied her father in his travels to the east during this period. In 40 BC Fulvia died after a conflict with Octavian and her father remarried once again, this time to Octavian's sister Octavia Minor. Antonia may have been with Octavia and her younger siblings after this. When Lepidus the triumvir was in Africa (around 37 BC) her father sent a freedman named Callias[b] to tell Lepidus to prepare for Antonia's wedding to take place some time before Antony left for his Parthian campaign. It is likely that the engagement was broken off in 36 BC when Lepidus was disgraced.[3] The ancient historian Cassius Dio states that Antonia and the young Lepidus were actually married, but most modern historians believe this to have been a mistake on his part, although it is not universally agreed upon, one dissenting opinion is from Nicola Criniti who thinks the two were wed.[3] Before Mommsen's identification of Lepidus Minor's fiancé with Pythodoros wife, it was generally held that this Antonia might have died, either before or after a marriage, since at the time of Lepidus Minor's own death in 30 BC, he was married to another woman named Servilia.[6] Marriage Between 36 and 34 BC, Antonia married Pythodoros of Tralles, who was an Anatolian Greek, who originated from Tralles (modern Aydın, Turkey). He was extremely wealthy and was a friend to the late triumvir Pompey. Pythodoros was about 20 years older than Antonia. The reason why Antony married his daughter off to Pythodoros was to hopefully gain some of Pythodoros' wealth for his war chest in his campaign to invade Parthia.[7] This was a testament to Antony’s Eastern perspective, as at that time Antony was married to Ptolemaic Greek Queen Cleopatra VII of Egypt and was living with her at her palace in Alexandria, Egypt. Antonia’s marriage to Pythodoros and her father's motive for the marriage to occur possibly upset the Roman Senate. This may have been one of the reasons that Octavian used in 31 BC to declare war on her father and stepmother Cleopatra. In the following year, her father and stepmother committed suicide when Octavian defeated them and conquered Egypt. Antonia and Pythodoros settled in Smyrna (modern Izmir, Turkey). Either in 30 BC or 29 BC, Antonia bore Pythodoros, a daughter and only child Pythodorida, who through her marriages became Queen of Pontus and Cappadocia. Pythodorida was born and raised in Smyrna.

Heremod ( Proto-Nordic : * Harimōdaz [1] , Latin form : Heremodius ) is a legendary Danish king and a legendary king of the Angles who would have lived in the 2nd century and is known from a brief account of his exile in the Old English poem Beowulf e of appearances in some genealogies like Scyld's father. He may be the same as one of the characters named Hermóðr in Old Norse sources. Heremod may also be identical to Lother ( Latin Lotherus) In Saxo Grammaticus' Gesta Danorum (Book 1) or the same story may have been applied to two originally separate figures. In genealogies Heremod appears as son of Itermon, son of Hratha, son of Hwala or Gwala. Heremod is also Scyld's father in most of these genealogies. See Sceafa for a more complete treatment. - Note: Sceafa is not Scyld, but it is Seskef / Cespeth / Scef. Scelda / Skjöld / Scyld is a descendant of Sceafa, as noted by all lineages referenced in the Sceafa wiki. The poet of Beowulf may have followed the same tradition, knowing a tale in which, in Heremod's expulsion, the young son and heir Scyld somehow ended up being put on a drifting ship.

- LifeSketch: Fedlimid Rechtmar [ ˈfɛðlʲimʲiðʲ ˈrɛxtwər ] ("the lawful, legitimate" or "the passionate, furious") or Rechtaid ("the judge, lawgiver"), son of Tuathal Techtmar, was, according to medieval Irish legend and historical tradition, a High King of Ireland. His mother was Báine, daughter of Scál. He took power after killing his predecessor, and his father's killer, Mal mac Rochride. The chronology of Geoffrey Keating's Foras Feasa ar Éirinn dates his reign to 104–113, that of the Annals of the Four Masters to 110–119. The Lebor Gabála Érenn synchronises his reign with that of the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius (161–180). He ruled for nine or ten years before dying in his bed, and was succeeded by Cathair Mór. One of his sons, Conn Cétchathach, would succeed Cathair. Two other sons, Fiacha Suighe, ancestor of the Dal Fiachrach Suighe, and Eochaid Finn, are named in medieval sources. He is said to have instituted the principle of an eye for an eye into Irish law, after which the behaviour of the Irish improved. The completion of the road construction around Tara is attributed to him. Children: . Conn Cétchathach . Eochaid Finn . Fiachra Suighe

- LifeSketch: Arvirargus (or Arviragus) was a legendary, and possibly historical, British king of the 1st century AD. A shadowy historical Arviragus is known only from a cryptic reference in a satirical poem by Juvenal, in which a giant turbot presented to the Roman emperor Domitian (AD 81-96) is said to be an omen that "you will capture some king, or Arviragus will fall from his British chariot-pole". Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae (1136) presents a legendary Arviragus who is contemporary with the emperor Claudius (41-54 AD). However, Geoffrey's work is highly romanticized and contains little trustworthy historical fact, rendering his account of Arvirargus suspect. According to Geoffrey, Arvirargus is a son of the former king Kimbelinus. He succeeds to the throne of Britain after his elder brother, Guiderius, dies fighting the invading Romans under Claudius. Arviragus puts on his brother's armour and leads the army of the Britons against the Romans. When he learns that Claudius and his commander, Hamo, have fled into the woods, Arvirargus follows him until they reach the coast. The Britons kill Hamo as he tries to flee onto a ship and the place is named Southampton after him. Claudius is able to reassemble his troops elsewhere and he besieges Portchester until it falls to his forces. Following Hamo's death, Arvirargus seeks refuge at Winchester, but Claudius follows him there with his army. The Britons break the siege and attack the Romans, but Claudius halts the attack and offers a treaty. In exchange for peace and tribute with Rome, Claudius offers Arvirargus his own daughter in marriage. They accept each other's terms and Arvirargus aids Claudius in subduing Orkney and other northern lands. In the following spring, Arvirargus weds Claudius' daughter, Genvissa, and names the city of Gloucester after her father. Following the wedding, Claudius leaves Britain in the control of Arvirargus. In the years following Claudius' departure, Arvirargus rebuilds the cities that have been ruined and becomes feared by his neighbours. This causes him to halt his tribute to Rome, forcing Claudius to send Vespasian with an army to Britain. As Vespasian prepares to land, such a large British force stands ready that he flees to another port, Totnes, where he sets up camp. Once a base is established, he marches to Exeter and besieges the city. Arvirargus meets him in battle there and the fight is stalemated. The following morning, Queen Genvissa mediates peace between the two foes. Vespasian returns to Rome and Arvirargus rules the country peacefully for some years. When he finally dies, he is buried in Gloucester, the city he built with Claudius. He is succeeded by his son, Marius. Geoffrey's legendary Arvirargus appears to correspond to some degree to the historical Caratacus, son of Cunobelinus, who, along with his brother Togodumnus, led the initial resistance to the Roman invasion of 43 AD, and went on to be a thorn in Rome's side for nearly a decade after Togodumnus's death. Welsh versions of Geoffrey's Historia call him Gweirydd and his brother Gwydr. Arvirargus is a character in William Shakespeare's play Cymbeline. He and his brother Guiderius had been kidnapped in childhood by Belarius, a nobleman wrongly banished by Cymbeline, and brought up in secret in Wales, but are reunited with their father and sister Imogen in time for the Roman invasion. The records of Henry Herbert (Master of the Revels) show that a play called Arviragus, was performed at the Court of Charles I on December 26 and 27 1636.

- LifeSketch: This connection is Very SHAKY. Most sources say the fate of Boadicia's two daughters, after the Romans defeated the Iceni I 60AD, is not known. Most believe they were killed in, or after the battle - or, possibly, took poison with their mother. Smallwood (Volume 11, p. 161) says her source for this marriage is "Royal Ancestors of Magna Charta Barons" (1959) by Carr P Collins Jr. And Pfafman cites Smallwood as one of the sources for his book. Ergo, Collins probably is the source for this information. Kraentzler however, in line 1812, also has Meric married to N.N daughter of Boudicca.
