- Father: Pabag of ISTAKHR
- Mother: Rôdak de Sasanide
- LifeSketch: Denag (Middle Persian: Dēnag) was a 3rd-century Sasanian queen (banbishn), who was the wife and sister of the Sasanian king (shah) Ardashir I (r. 224–242). She was one of the daughters of Pabag, a local ruler in Pars; her brothers were Shapur, Ardashir I, and Balash. She later became the wife of Ardashir I in accordance with the Zoroastrian law of consanguine marriage. She was thus given the title of bānbishnān bānbishn ("Queen of Queens") and is assumed to have been represented the figure on the far right of the investiture relief of Ardashir at Naqsh-e Rajab. She later lost her title of bānbishnān bānbishn after the death of her husband in 242.

BINT SAHAK of the Bagratuni Dynasty
- Father: Shapur I DE PERSE
- Mother: Kharanzim DE SEISTAN
- LifeSketch: Adur-Anahid (Middle Persian: 𐭠𐭲𐭲𐭲𐭲 𐭦𐭩 𐭲𐭲𐭲𐭲𐭩𐭲) was a high-ranking 3rd-century Iranian noblewoman from the royal Sasanian family, who wielded the title of Queen of Queens (banbishnan banbishn). She was a daughter of the second Sasanian King of Kings of Iran, Shapur I (r. 240–270). Her name is most likely a combination of adur ("fire") and the name of the Iranian goddess, Anahita. Originally thought to mean "Fire of Anahita", her name is now agreed to mean "Fire and Anahita". Adur-Anahid was a daughter of the second Sasanian King of Kings of Iran, Shapur I (r. 240–270). She is mentioned twice in an inscription on the wall of the Ka'ba-ye Zartosht at Naqsh-e Rostam near Persepolis in southern Iran, which Shapur I had created in c. 262. In the first paragraph, Shapur I claims to have ordered the establishment of fires for his daughter Adur-Anahid and three of his sons, Hormizd, Shapur, and Narseh. The fire established for Adur-Anahid was named Husraw-Adur-Anahid. In the second paragraph, Shapur I claims to have rewarded Adur-Anahid, along with princes and other high-ranking members of the court by ordering sacrifices in their names. Adur-Anahid is mentioned with the title of Queen of Queens (banbishnan banbishn) in the inscription. The German Iranologist Walther Hinz has suggested that Adur-Anahid was the spouse of her father Shapur I, demonstrating the practice in Zoroastrianism of khwedodah, or close-kin marriage. However, this is opposed by other scholars, who have deduced that the title of members of the royal family illustrated their social status rather than family status. The title of "Queen" was wielded by all women of the royal Sasanian family, including the king's daughters and sisters, and the spouses of Sasanian princes. The title of Adur-Anahid thus demonstrated her status as the highest ranking woman in the court.

- Birth: ABT 47 BC, Jerusalem, Roman Empire
- Clan Name: House of Boethus
- LifeSketch: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mariamne_(third_wife_of_Herod) Mariamne II was the third wife of Herod the Great. She was the daughter of Simon Boethus the High Priest. Josephus recounts their wedding thus: There was one Simon, a citizen of Jerusalem, the son of one Boethus, a citizen of Alexandria, and a priest of great note there; this man had a daughter, who was esteemed the most beautiful woman of that time; and when the people of Jerusalem began to speak much in her commendation, it happened that Herod was much affected with what was said of her; and when he saw the damsel, he was smitten with her beauty, yet did he entirely reject the thoughts of using his authority to abuse her, as believing, what was the truth, that by so doing he should be stigmatized for violence and tyranny; so he thought it best to take the damsel to wife. And while Simon was of a dignity too inferior to be allied to him, but still too considerable to be despised, he governed his inclinations after the most prudent manner, by augmenting the dignity of the family, and making them more honourable; so he immediately deprived Jesus, the son of Phabet, of the high priesthood, and conferred that dignity on Simon, and so joined in affinity with him [by marrying his daughter]. She had one child by Herod, called Herod II or Herod Boethus, who married his niece, Herodias, and by her had a daughter, Salome. Mariamne II was implicated in the plot of Antipater against her husband (Herod) in 4 BCE. As a result, Herod divorced her and removed her father (Simon Boethus) as high priest. Additionally, her son Herod II was removed from the line of succession in Herod's last will. - LifeSketch: Matt 1:16 has a translational error. Husband should read Father. Matt 1:17 states there are three groups of 14 generations. The last group is actually 13 if Joseph is a husband, but 14 if a Father. Also, Matthew's use of Greek word for husband in verse 19 is different than Greek word in verse 16, meaning he meant something different. As the context of 19 forces the word husband, then the different greek word in verse 16 must needs be Father, which permits for 14 generations. ================================== Married twice ... . Heli of the tribe of Nathan . Jacob of the tribe of Solomon The following table is a side-by-side comparison of Matthew's and Luke's genealogies. Converging sections are shown with a green background, and diverging sections are shown with a red background. Comparison of Matthew's and Luke's genealogiesThe Church Fathers held that both accounts are true. In his book An Exact Exposition of the Orthodox Faith, John Damascene argues that Heli of the tribe of Nathan (the son of David) died childless, and Jacob of the tribe of Solomon, took his wife and raised up seed to his brother and begat Joseph, in accordance with scripture, namely, yibbum (the mitzvah that a man must marry his brother's childless widow); Joseph, therefore, is by nature the son of Jacob, of the line of Solomon, but by law he is the son of Heli of the line of Nathan. *Wikipedia

- LifeSketch: Hyfaidd ap Bleddri (born c.?830) was a king of Dyfed. Triad 68-"Three Kings who Sprang from Villeins"-lists Hyfaidd among their number, meaning that his father Bleddri or Bledrig was held to have been a serf rather than a member of Dyfed's old royal family claiming descent from Aed Brosc. His mother was supposed to be Tangwystl, a daughter of the earlier King Owain. Charles-Edwards argues that Hyfaidd was responsible for consolidating the lands that would later become Deheubarth, annexing Ystrad Tywi and possibly Ceredigion to Dyfed before his death. He was said to have oppressed the clerics of Meneva (modern St. David's) and exiled Bishop Nobis, earning him the enmity of Nobis's kinsman, the historian Asser. Although later Welsh histories made Hywel Dda's inheritance of Dyfed a peaceful affair brought about by his marriage to Hyfaidd's granddaughter Elen and the extinction of Hyfaidd's male line, Asser's more contemporary Life of King Alfred reports that Dyfed or Brycheiniog both fell under such sustained attack from Hywel's uncle Anarawd and father Cadell that Kings Hyfaidd and Elise submitted to King Alfred of Wessex's overlordship in exchange for protection. Hyfaidd's sons Llywarch and Rhodri reigned after him, but the kingdom was soon lost to Cadell's son Hywel who consolidated his realms as Deheubarth. ADELISA [de Bohun] . "Main pater Willelmi de Albinico, Adelisa, Hunfredus de Buun avunculus eius…Willelmu[us] de Albinioc…" are listed in the Liber Vitæ of Thorney abbey[459]. The chronology of the Albini Brito family (descended from Adelisa and her husband) is difficult to determine precisely, but it appears possible that "Hunfredus de Buun", who is named in the Thorney list as "avunculus" of William [I] de Albini Brito, was Humphrey [II] de Bohun, in which case William’s mother may have been Humphrey’s sister who is named Adela in the 1130 Pipe Roll. m MAIN, son of ---.

- Father: Humphrey DE BOHUN
- Mother: Margaret DE BAYEAUX
- Birth: 1079, Hereford, Herefordshire, England
- Also known as: Humphrey "the Great"
- Also known as: The Great, Constable of England de Bohun
- Also known as: Humphrey Bohun II
- Occupation: Constable of England (Royal Standard Bearer), 1120
- Occupation: Sheriff of Wiltshire
- Title Of Nobility: 1st Baron of Trowbridge
- LifeSketch: He starts the Humphrey I because he was the youngest son of Humphrey with the Beard. So do not get the numeric confused. Every child after Humphrey I was the eldest child hence the II, III, IV. and so on. Wikipedia Humphrey I de Bohun (died c.1123), jure uxoris feudal baron of Trowbridge in Wiltshire, was an Anglo-Norman nobleman. By his lucrative marriage (to Maud de Salisbury) he became "the founder of the fortunes of his family", later prominent in England as Earls of Hereford and Earls of Essex, and for this reason is usually enumerated "Humphrey I" even though following his father he was the second "Humphrey de Bohun" in England. He has even been called Humphrey the Great. Origins He was the youngest son of Humphrey de Bohun ("With the Beard") (Cum Barba), who had taken part in the Norman Conquest of England of 1066, lord of the manor of Bohun (now Bohon) in Manche, Normandy (in the 12th century split into two separate parishes of Saint-Georges-de-Bohon and Saint-André-de-Bohon), 26 km north-east of Coutances and 18 km north-west of Saint-Lô. Marriage and children He married Maud of Salisbury, a daughter of Edward of Salisbury (died 1130), feudal baron of Trowbridge and of Chitterne, both in Wiltshire. Maud brought as her dowry the feudal barony of Trowbridge, whilst Chitterne was inherited by her brother Walter of Salisbury (died 1147). By his wife he had issue including: 1. Humphrey II de Bohun (died 1165), eldest son and heir, feudal baron of Trowbridge. Together with his mother he founded the Cluniac Monkton Farleigh Priory in Wiltshire, to fulfill his father's wishes. 2. Margaret de Bohun, wife of Walter Fitz Robert, who died childless. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Foundation for Medieval Genealogy HUMPHREY [II] de Bohun (-[1128/29]). A manuscript which narrates the descents of the founders of Lanthony Abbey names “dominum Hunfredum de Bohun secundum” as son of “dominus Hunfredus de Bohun, cum barba”....He died before the 1129/30 Pipe Roll in which his son is recorded as paying relief on his father’s land. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- “Royal Ancestry: A Study in Colonial & Medieval Families,” Douglas Richardson (2013): “HUMPHREY DE BOHUN, of Bishopstrow, East Coulston, Etchilharnpton, Manningford Bohune, Heddington, Newton Tony, Staverton, Swallowcliffe, Trowbridge, and Wilsford, Wiltshire, Walton upon Thames, Surrey, etc., younger son. He married MAUD OF SALISBURY, daughter of Edward of Salisbury, of Chitterne and Trowbridge, Wiltshire [see LONGESPÉE 1 for her parentage]. They had one son, Humphrey, and one daughter, Maud. In 1125 he and his wife, Maud, founded Monkton Farleigh Priory, Wiltshire. HUMPHREY DE BOHUN died about 1129. His widow, Maud, died in 1146. Memoirs illus. of the Hist. & Antiqs. of Wiltshire & the City of Salisbury (1851): 215-216 (" ... the Genealogical history of the Bohuns, which was written in the chronicle of the abbey of Lanthony, near Gloucester, presents a long statement of the alliance which the daughter of Edward of Salisbury made with Humphrey de Bohun, styled the Great. It is as follows: 'The lord Humphrey de Bohun, who was surnamed 'with the beard,' who first came with William the Conqueror into England from Normandy, a kinsman of the said Conqueror, begat lord Humphrey de Bohun the second. He was called Humphrey the Great; who, by the will and command of William Rufus, son of the said Conqueror, espoused Matilda daughter of Edward of Salisbury, with which Matilda her father gave to the said Humphrey in free marriage all his lands and tenements which were of his own acquisition; namely Weston near Salisbury, Walton, Newenton, Piryton, Staunton (or Staverton?), Trowbridge, and a messuage in Salisbury next the east gate, and the advowson of the church of the Holy Cross which is founded above that gate, together with a meadow without Salisbury. And Weston aforesaid was given in exchange for Wyvelesford and Manningford. And all the other lands and tenements which were of the inheritance of the said Edward remained to his son and heir, Walter of Salisbury.' It was this Humphrey de Bohun and his wife Matilda who founded the priory of Farley, in this county. This took place, according to the register of Lewes priory, in the year 1125."). Jackson Hist. of the Priory of Monkton Farley (1857): 3-4 ("It appears to have been the second Humphrey Bohun who first became a landowner in North Wilts. At the desire of William Rufus he married Maud, daughter of the greatest landlord in the county, Edward of Salisbury, who, at the marriage, endowed his daughter with several estates belonging to the Honour of Trowbridge. Farley is not named among them, so he obtained it in some other way ... Maud of Salisbury, the wife of Humphrey Bohun the Second, was certainly the person who designed the Priory of Monkton Farley. The land which she gave for the purpose was an estate called the Buries, at Bishopstrow, near Warminster ... Whether Maud Bohun actually began the building I cannot say. it was founded about the year 1125, but the dates of her husband's and her own death are not known. It was certainly finished and principally endowed by her son Humphrey de Bohun the Third..."). Herald & Genealogist 6 (1871): 241-253. Jour. British Arch. Assoc. 27 (1871): 179-191 ("... Humphrey, succeeded his father in his English possessions, which had been augmented in the reign of Rufus by an extensive barony in Wiltshire, through his marriage with Maude (or Mabel as she is sometimes called), daughter of that most mysterious personage, Edward of Salisbury ... This marriage was made, we are told by the chronicler of Lanthony Abbey, at the instance of William Rufus himself; and with this lady her father gave to the said Humphrey, in free marriage, all his lands and tenements which were of his own acquisition. Now as Humphrey de Bophun already possessed by inheritance an extensive barony in Wiltshire, these additional estates must have made him a very important personage ... This Humphrey de Bohun, second of the name, dapifer to King Henry I, and distinguished in the history of his family as 'the Great or the Fat,' died in 1131, leaving by his wife aforesaid an only son named Humphrey, and a daughter named Maude..."). Notes & Queries 4th Ser. 9 (1872): 313-315. Wiltshire Arch. & Natural Hist. Mag. 20 (1882):75-86 ("Edward of Salisbury ... had in A.D. 1100 ... eaten up Brictric's manor[s] of Trowbridge and Staverton, and as certainly, in the year 1125, our manor [Farley] had passed first into the hands of Humphrey Bohun the second, and from him into those of Humphrey Bohun the third, and had by them been conveyed to the Priory of St. Pancras, Lewes, for the purpose of founding a daughter Cluniac priory in our parish. Now the first Humphrey Bohun married Matilda, sole daughter of Edward of Salisbury, and she, on her father's death, shared his estates with her only brother. Thereafter the manors of Trowbridge and Staverton, as well as that of Farley, passes through her to the priory. It is only, therefore, reasonable to conjecture that they all passed from Brictric to Edward of Salisbury, and so to our Priory. There has been a difference of opinion as to whether it was the second or the third Humphrey Bohun who founded our Priory, but my judgement is that the first commenced and the second concluded the foundation. The charter is styled 'Carta Humfridi de Bohun, Regis Dapiferi, de fundatione Prioratus de Farleighe.' This is evidently the third Humphrey Bohun, for the second was never 'Regis Dapifer,' but the charter goes on, sometimes absolutely to give and sometimes only to confirm, the gift of properties, and in the case of our parish [Parley] the gift is only confirmed; confirmed therefore, I conclude, as the previous gift of the father, Humphrey the second.").
